In this video tutorial I am going to show you how to embroider on sleeves using the Hoop Master Freestyle re-positional fixture. I will be using a 9 x 5 and 9 x 3 mighty hoop, a hoodie, cut away stabilizer as well as water soluble stabilizer. I will also be using The Ricoma EM1010 multi needle embroidery machine.

Yes, the Ricoma EM1010 has less space to accommodate the longer ones. But I can doble hoop it if I want a longer design. Enjoy your mighty hoops 🌻

What hoop size you used in your design set?

Hi, I used a 5" x 9" hoop. I made sure the design was not taller than 7.0 inches. The EM1010 machine allows up to 8 inches in height.

What made you purchase the free style arm as opposed to using the hoop master to hoop.

Hi! The free arm allows me to use the 9×3 and 9x5 hoops, longer hoops for the 15 needles machine, to embroider on sleeves and pants leg. I have video tutorials on how to use it. Thanks for watching 😊

I have two single needle machines. i have had my EM1010 for about six months and I’ve been apprehensive about using it. What bobbins do you use for your multi needle? Do you have an Amazon page?

I use the pre-wound L size Magna- Glide magnetic bobbins. I get them from Amazon. I will place the link below on the description box of my recent video. The more you use your embroidery machine, the more you will get used to it. It has been almost 3 years since I have my machine, and I feel like I am still learning.

What is a good size of mighty hoop to do first and last names on a polo shirt?

Hi! If you are going to embroider a sleeve, a 9"×3" or 9"×5" are good choices. If you're going to embroider on the front of the shirt, a 5"x5" is a good size. You can also use the 5"×5" for left or right chest logos, you can also use a 4"×4" size, but you'll get more use out of a 5"×5" hoop.
