Hey Mitch, thanks for the great video. I've done the Home Depot version of this on my old garage but it didn't last long. This system seems to be the same steps ( add the sanding and sealer) so if I did the old version, I'm thinking I can do this as well. I'm have a new garage (concrete is about 5 months old) and your video gives me some confidence that I can do this DIY rather than the $4500 quote I got from a company (and that I can't afford) My space is about 600 square feet, so I'm thinking 2 kits? How much flake to I need for a medium coat? Thanks

First, I appreciate this tutorial. I am in the Northern VA area and was quoted $2500 to do polyurea with polyaspartic top coat with flake, limited lifetime warranty and one day install. This is for a two car garage, 480sf, which is about 8yo with minimal floor repair required. For the cost of my time and lack of friends that are willing to do volunteer work, it is much easier (time of frustration is a cost too) and more cost-effective to choose to pay a pro to do the work esp with lifetime warranty!

$2,500 isn’t a bad price for 480SF. Here in Florida most companies I’ve ran into were $7.50-$10 SF. Same limited lifetime warranty. Doesn’t cover moisture so make sure they test moisture level in the slab.

Hi Mitch! I'd love a video on how to maintain pre-existing flake epoxy flooring; my work has this type of flooring, it's blatantly being wet with chlorine water, and it's looking really rough in high-traffic areas. Maintenance power washes it before big swim meets or events, but that only makes it look nice again until people walk all over it again. Any advice would be appreciated!

@StoneCoatCountertops Hi is it necessary to wait until the next day to apply the polyaspartic top coat? Is that so the flakes have time to settle in? What happens if you do it all in one day? I recently had my garage done and they did all in the same day so just wondering if I should be concerned. … also how many clear top coats do you need to put over the flakes? Enough to fill in all the voids plus have a smooth finish like say 2mm over the flakes?
