I think most if not all Engineers have struggled with all the various ways you mentioned that eventually lead to failure. It’s no cake 🍰 walk by any means to properly manage your time, avoid bad short cuts, frequently step out of your comfort zone, be accountable for your performance, network, and build a portfolio all while trying to keep out of a sunken cost fallacy mindset, (not to mention holding on to that initial interest and passion that steered you towards Engineering to begin with 😅) but I really like that you acknowledge these are the necessities that’ll help us succeed 😁 Even now I still feel a bit of “imposter syndrome” when I look at the work that’s ahead of me but in reality we’ve made it this far why not clutch it up and get that degree 🤩

Imposter syndrome never really goes away, it's a sign you're learning new things, use it to your advantage.

Going into my 2nd semester of my second year. Pretty chill semester, taking Physics 3, Second Chem class and two electives. These tips will help a lot, thank you.

Good luck! Physics 3 was one of my favorite classes, if you like electromagnetic waves you should consider RF/wireless comms

I hate when people complain about accents personally. We live in an interconnected world. If you can't understand them it's on you. (Rhetorical "you" not targeted)

On the first anniversary of this video I would like to thank you for your effort on making these videos about engineering. I've always been stuck between choosing the engineering subfield I really want (I just finished highschool) and these videos help me with my decision alongside with other ME and CPE engineering channels. I even have your book in my shortlist haha. One thing is: Do you recommend if I double major on electrical and computer engineering and how do I know if the uni im applying to offers that?

reach out to the uni or check their website to see their programs. double major if it makes sense and wont delay graduation too much

Although I may not be a tinkerer, I am deeply fascinated by math. Sometimes I wonder if the passion for the Language of EE is enough lol. Specifically, I’m interested in the interface of analog and digital. DSP, RF, and even controls are subfields that have always stood out to me. But I’m unsure if there’s anything that incorporates all 3 or if I should hone my focus in even more.

If you really like math, DSP is one option for sure but also error control. Check out some videos about LDPC codes and polar codes, maybe you'd find it interesting. I'm thinking about making a video explaining DSP and what you can do with it. Would that help you?

I am in engineering college where majority of people are not even interested in engineering. Their group has talks of random stuffs and drama but never bother talking about engineering. I have good connection with professors but sometimes it's difficult to communicate with them and stuffs . I don't know, I have completed 75% of my total engineering subjects. And I'm doing research of my own in 3rd yr undergraduate engineering. I take help of online resources a lot . I have good network of people on LinkedIn but I haven't figured out ways to actually text them . Any suggestions you have for me?
