Securing a website with full domain protection is like $80 total for 3 years and it makes you look professional & organized, so well worth the investment in my opinion

It certainly can... but the biggest issue is if that site doesn't actually look professional and organized (which I see all the time), you lose client trust before you even have the opportunity to gain it. But when done right... it's absolutely a good thing! :-)

@@drewbower4623 As my latest video on this topic says, I really don't recommend paid ads for new/struggling cleaning businesses. Inside my program I don't recommend my students use them until they have reached the $100K / year sales mark. They are just too risky, and shouldn't be viewed as a shortcut. There was a time where things like Yelp worked great, but stories like yours are unfortunately becoming more and more common. :-( This is the latest version of this video... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b9icgcSYytHNYGw.html&t I stand behind the idea that nothing will ever be as powerful as building relationships and networking. :-)

Hi Bethany, and thank you for these bingeable videos! The one concern that's been on my mind with respect to commercial cleaning is how do you get into this space with no prior experience or help from family/friends/coworkers (I am in a new city)? I have learned quite a bit about the whole commercial cleaning process, but I don't know what roadblocks there are for someone with no record in the industry. Recently I have been thinking of getting into residential first to get reviews and some experience in that space and then to move into commercial, but I really would prefer to go straight into commercial if this is only a matter of my own overthinking.

In this video, you mention having advertising on Yelp, but when I did, 60 to 70% of the calls I got from them, they were coming from scammers. That all depends on you. I never care or focus on statistics like that because they are irrelevant to me. If we want to make something work, we will. So if you want to make your cleaning business succeed, and you put in the work, you will. :-) Finding clients isn't hard, but it does take work. Hi Bethany 🙋‍♂️ Whatever you tell us is great, 🙏 but unfortunately it doesn't work in the UK and Ireland. without flyers, social media pages, web pages, paid advertising, etc. you won't be able to find any clients here or you must be a woman to start working as a self-employed cleaner and expand your client base. especially in Ireland no one allows you to clean if you are a man, even if you are a professional... and one more thing: for everything that they pay you 250 dollars, here you will hardly get 60-80 euros

Thanks for your support! I don't have knowledge of the man vs woman topic over there... that's sad though. And discriminatory. :-( And although we are in the US and we've never had a cleaning business in the UK... the same basic truth applies everywhere. There are always 2 types of clients, value driven and price driven. So please don't assume that everyone is 'only willing to pay' a certain amount. Trust me... there are ALWAYS people willing to pay more for quality. It's just a matter of finding them. :-) There are LOTS of biz owners here in the US who say the same. So dont give up!

Absolutely! People oversell the need for a website. It's just a tool. But it doesnt do anything if people don't ever see it. So it's way better and faster to get in front of your ideal clients and solve their cleaning problems. And trust me... they won't care whether you have a website or not. Their main concerns are 1) will you deliver on your promises? 2) can we agree on a price? That's it.

@@kinoplaylist Never used either, but you should really let your market dictate what you use. Like... which is the most used app in your market, or which app has the least competition in your market... :-)

When you apply your business on yelp and they call you . And they ask do you want pay fee for leads how do you know if it's a scammer or not?
@TheProfessionalCleaner
@TheProfessionalCleaner Жыл бұрын
@@biggabe5669 Oh got you! I would always do a reverse lookup of the phone number they are calling from and see what Google says. But if you want to run paid ads and have questions for Yelp, I would always recommend you initiate those phone calls to them using the support numbers listed, or contact them through their support site... instead of taking calls from numbers you don't know. 🙂

@@biggabe5669if you want to pay for leads that are legit, you might want to try Angie cleaning or Craft Jack. For a small fee they give you some good leads. Good luck to you!
