The finally gave us a marker… I always avoided area 18 as a homebase for this exact reason. Thanks for the tip!

Yep it's a little better. They should do a large hologram with a high LOD. It would actually fit right in.

To forgo all the looking for the markers day or night, I use one location on planet preferably one of the quantum jump marked locations on planet the polar orbital markers work as wel (OM 1 & 2) However the equatorial orbital markers will not as they do not hold relative same position to the city as the planet rotates. The orbital space station does as long as you are within its outer ring markers. Then jump grom that point to the Area18 site. You jump to the same relative position to the space port each time so it will be in the same position meaning you always find it in the same direction when you arrive day or night. One extra prep jump for easy flight path orientation to the space port.

That was really useful.... But I always goto OM3 first, then Area 18, since that always puts you above the Spaceport. Save faffing about!

Head towards area 18, almost over it, and make your heading around 355 and you will see it. I do wish that when you want to fly to a location, it puts you at the spaceport! Just another important thing that they don't think of!!!

The marker is the tall spire in the middle of the city, hit that, turn to 355 and look for the parallel sets of what look like runway lights

Very helpful, thank you so much! I'll try that as soon as I get time. Yesterday I tried a package delivery mission and while trying to land on an outpost on Wala suddenly without warning my Freelancer exploded. Did I something wrong or is that somethin that can happen? But on the positive side, in my experience the new version 3.23 runs great in 4K and feels much more stable, I really like it and this makes me want to play more Star Citizen. Before I just tried out the new versions and due to major bugs I waited for the next version. Hope the game does go in this good direction in the future and thank you again for your tutorials. So helpful for beginners!

It sounds like you might have possibly hit some part of a ship debris that might have been small. I like to come in and hit F4 to see my surroundings when landing because even small ship[ pieces or small ground vehicles can cause explosions. It was that or possibly a bug, but for me its usually been pieces I come into contact with. Especially at the mining outposts. Thanks for watching!
