I ironically found you through an entirely different video. As I read through the comments on the video, many people were praising and defending you. This says a lot about a person. It lead me to check you out directly through your videos. I’m extremely glad I found you. “If there is a book you need to read, it will be placed in your hands” the universe works so beautifully. The way you talk, the verbiage you use, it resonates with me profoundly. I’m only seeing synchronization all over this. It’s funny how I’m being guided, it’s usually through some bizarre or out of field way. But I love it because the awareness that comes with that is so amazing.

8:40 I felt that vibrational peace when I was circulating a petition in Los Angeles. The US Navy uses active sonar loudspeakers in the ocean which are destroying the lungs and ear drums of whales. I was devastated over what I read. I signed their petition and many more petitions from other people and I created my own. When I stood in front of Whole Foods Market for many hours in summer fall spring and winter for 2 years until we moved away from LA I was feeling in those hours of petitioning this universal truth and peace in me because I was doing Something that was moving this seemingly impossible mission of saving the whales forward.

🙌 I get you bro, thanks! Love the depth of truth you speak of!!! I recently worked through that Facebook group webinar you suggested and i went live for the first time after I wrote a poem. This inspired me to put myself out there so others are able learn from my story as I’ve felt recently this is my purpose as I have an indescribable feeling of wholeness after I write and speak my own truth. Being able to see others gain insight into their own lives is a powerful feeling knowing I was able to ignite that flame inside them. It’s hard to describe although things seem to line up in my life when I least expect them to happen when I have spoken to the public before about my story. I’m going to stick with that feeling, starting a KZfaq channel in a few weeks!!! Excited to start my journey into the unknown yet I understand it gives me a feeling of purpose when I talk or think about it... Your able to articulate these feeling so well, cheers 🥂

Amazing video! Thank you very much! A beautiful reminder to go with love! With all the biological drives and the speed of the day to day live it’s easy to forget the most fundamental concept of life! It’s so simple but kinda hard for me to maintain at times to be honest! Kinda hard not to fall back into the ego and into the dense competitive headspace haha also as a young man you tend to forget about the shepherds, cause they are kinda rare! You mainly see sheep and wolves and mistake the sheep for the “lovers” and feel like they are naive (which they are in a way because for them there is no conscious tought or decision behind being a “lover”)! You keep seeing the wolves taking advantage of sheep and think “no the concept of just love doesn’t work! You can’t compete” and you forget about the power of becoming the sheperd after going trough the stages of sheep - wolf- sheperd! (Or apathy- anger - peace) after all it’s about truly loving and understanding and valuing people, spreading love and it is amazing what happens (not just but also game wise haha)! Thank you very much Owen! Also appreciate the beautiful San Francisco scenery! Thank you! Well done brother haha

Another great video. I think the "higher vibrational" energy can even be explained by purely psychological mechanisms(even though I think there might be more to it as well, but I love breaking things down at every level). I think our psychological energy states are determined by our ability to connect to archetypal ideas and drives. Low level targets like pleasure don't have a deep impact, but more absolute ideas like divinity, god, love, serving others, have a way higher energy capacity. The more abstract and higher order the idea, the bigger "potential" energy it seems to have... Fascinating stuff, thank you for your work!

@@OwenCookSelfHelp It's awesome to see how similar truth is arrived at through all these different means. Whether it be the survival of long lasting religious mythical concepts. Or the book smarts of a guy like JBP (although he wouldn't consider himself an intellectual). Or the direct hands on approach of guys like yourself, and for instance Navy Seals like Jocko. Ultimately, what works is what resonates.

Is there any chance you can re-upload that video you did about working hard and peak experiences? You were in a park in New York. I find that I sway between needing to be present more, and then also needing to kick my ass in gear (honestly though, I feel like I need to kick my own ass more). That video you posted a few years back was so valuable to me (I'd visit it regularly, and feel like I need to check in on that video again). At any rate, I respect your decision to be done with that content, but just so you know, it was fantastic and I miss it!

This was a truly epic video, Owen. Thank you for sharing this with us. On a completely random and separate note, I wonder if you have any advice on how to respond when a girl we've started dating asks about our family or if I'm close with my family? I come from a pretty messed up family situation and I'm no longer in touch with my family anymore. During a first or second date, I feel like it's too much of a downer to get into the gnarly family details from my past. At the same time, though, it feels wrong to lie and say things are cool with my family when they're not, in response to being asked a well-meaning / "just getting to know you" question about my family. I sense that you've had some similar experiences with your family, based on some of the things you've said in a few of your videos. I was just wondering if you have any advice on how to respond to this common and well-meaning question that women often ask on a 1st or 2nd date? Again, my whole thing is that I don't want to get into anything negative on a first date but I also don't want to overtly lie to someone I've just started dating by telling them that things are good with my family when they're not. Any advice you might have on how to respond to this common 1st or 2nd date type of question would be greatly appreciated. I sense that we may have similar family situations and experiences from our pasts and I can't think of a better person who would know how to respond to these types of well-meaning, 1st or 2nd date questions that women often ask when they simply want to get to know me a little better. Thanks again for all of the value you provide, Owen. You're truly a gift to all of the guys and gals who are working towards being the best versions of ourselves.
