I am really enjoying your channel! The colorful version is stunning but both are fantastic Question: I gather you just glazed over the buildings with the red and were able to keep it fresh without creating mud!

Both paintings are very good. Why didn't you leave the first one and just do the second one from scratch in the different style? If you have a good source photo paint it many times.

Your first painting looked like a war zone, depressing, dark and not clear, you second made a big difference, took most of the feeling of dark and dreary away.
