There are a number of problems that can cause a Nintendo Switch game card to stop reading. You can get error messages that say there is no card inserted and it not be able to read a game card. It frequently is caused by an issue with the game card itself because the card is dirty, defective, or damaged. However, it can also be an issue with the console’s game card reader, especially if it happens with more than one game. In this video I will show you how to replace the Nintendo Switch game card reader. Repairing this yourself is much cheaper and faster than sending the unit back to Nintendo for repairs.
