Nintendo Switch Not Reading Game Card-How To Fix It-Tutorial

In this video, I talk to you about a Nintendo Switch that is not reading a game cartridge properly. This can happen from time to time and it is usually really easy to solve. I go over a few simple things that you can try out to hopefully allow you to get to the bottom of the problem and find a solution that works. I have even experienced this before and it is usually one of the more simplistic solutions that ends up working. With that being said, I tried to go over the easiest solutions first, and then deal with the more complex ones, so you should try them out in the same order that I address them throughout the video.

This helped, thanks a lot! The method that worked for me was completely turning the system off, removing the game, then turning the system back on and reinserting the game card.

Helped a lot! I had to attempt shutting off and on again about four to five times, turning it off with the game card in and reinserting when it was turned on. I tried a few variations, and I doubt that itself did it, but the tip helped and came in handy. 😊

Soooo, what if none of these work? None of my sons games work for his switch, we cleaned the cartridge and the port, and it keeps saying it doesn’t read any of the games

Idk I've been trying to fix it for years, one thing I found was that there was some tiny metal things inside the port that I would guess help read the game card and I noticed two of the metal things were facing a different direction than the other wires so I don't know if that's what's causing the problem but I'm pretty sure that has something to do with it

Its likely that one of the pins are bent backwards, you can fix it however you have to open up the switch

Thx a bunch man my Mario cart game wasn't working and I tried all the methods until the cleaning one and I just blew into the game holder and I inserted the game back in and it started working so keep up the good work and thx again

Thank you for the tutorial, I was worried that I would have to get the Switch sent in for repairs but Hard resetting and putting it in and out a couple of times it worked for me.

My game got fixed the first time then the second time this happened i ended up downloading digital version because the cartrage just wouldnt boot 🤷🏻

Oh my LORD lol. Grew up playing the NES. When I got to the “take it out n put it back in several times”, I got instant PTSD LOL It always worked for the NES and holy hell… it worked for this too 😂😂😂

Yep went way over board wondering how much money it was and if she had hard facts that this gril stole it. Cuz wat she did takes alot alot of time and the whole times shes doing it shes plucking out hair. Probably didnt even stop after hour 5.
