Luckily for me, the used couch I just bought for $50, with the issue of 'one side doesn't recline' was just made whole again thanks to your video's help. Granted I didn't fix mine, but I found if you simply cut that cord and pull it out the side, and pull it whenever you wanna recline, it still functions fundamentally the same way.

When I went to the hardware store to find a ubolt fixture it looked nothing like the one you used.

The spring that holds the footrest closed broke and fell off. I can't see where the spring is supposed to hook on. Please Help

I literally have the same sofa as you shown in this video...my issue is when I open it, as you stated "the big metal frame" is the part that hits/rubs the matal part that is connected to the metal floor frame

My plastic handle broke also. I just took the model and serial number off the tag beneath the footrest and called Lane and they sent me a new cable for free.

for recliner = electric one How to REPAIR when the 2 switch inside broken ? This is harder than physical mechanism, as my sofa couch got 2 side, one side electric, one side manual -- I almost never sit on the Manual side, too much foot work to bring it back to NORMAL
