We have a Culligan branded reverse osmosis system in our kitchen to provide drinking water, water for coffee or tea, water for cooking . . . you get the idea. Lately, the flow has been getting worse and worse. We would turn the system on and water would flow well for a few seconds, then slow, and finally trickle to a virtual stop. We started to wonder if the system was breaking down in some way. I called Culligan to arrange a visit. First, however, the person I spoke to suggested I try a rather odd trick with a bicycle pump.
