In this case, you just need to connect the problematic disk to your computer and can perform operations as mentioned in the video using Diskpart Utility. I did everything you did, I got the same exact error messages ect, but I ended up at the same place with no solution. I could care less about the $100 hard drive , I just really can't lose these files. Is there anyway I can get them off the hard drive.

CRC is a fatal error....so don't take risk and approach data recovery firm , it there is a critical.data inside

Sorry but why is there no explanation on what to do if you get the “ Data error (cyclic redundancy check) in command prompt”? Watched the video thinking there was a solution to the problem as stated on the video title. Does anyone know how to fix it? Watched the entire video thoroughly but after this error, the video just skipped to a different command prompt log using a different HDD

I found the solution to my problem, due to the system not letting me initialize my disk but it did recognized it... I had to download Easeus partition manager and unfortunately wipe the disk... but fortunately, I had just installed a game so no important files where missed. after that, all was normal again and no more errors showed when assigning the unit.

The fix for my problem was to download easus partition master (it has a free version), install then run it, then right click on the disk you're having trouble with and delete or "wipe" , unfortunately you have to delete all data on it... but it with get rid of the CRC issue.... Just so you know I had a bad installation process on my disk that gave my that CRC error...

Viewers save your time, he didnt fix anything just goes on and on and when you arrive at the CMD part with CC error he goes "I'm not keen on fixing the issue" only to confirm that a hdd with CC error is unfixable at the end, dont waste your time no fix here 👎

Diskpart utility is the another way to sort out this issue, if u cant fix it using GUI. It the issues still persist, go for replacement.

CRC error is a fatal error and it needs to be dealt with Hit n Try method only. I havnt done any shortcuts
