Thank you, that seemed to have done the trick. There was some lint debris but not enough in my mind to cause an issue. Nevertheless, the error cleared up. That filter really stunk! Don't forget to do diagnostic mode just as Todd Heath instructed.

How you restart the washer, I can't open it, my clothes still inside of it.

There are 3 holes behind the rubber seal at the bottom of the doorway opening. Those need to be cleaned as well. They drain any water splashed up on the door during the cycle. Perhaps act as a vent as well.

Cleaned filter E1F3 code did not clear. Any other options?

Didnt work. Drain was clean. Had run the clean cycle a week or so and when I went to use it the code came up and the door is locked. Does not respond to anything. What next?

Quicker way is to tilt back washer, remove 2 nuts on bottom panel and you have instant access to the drain pump filter. The nuts are torx bit t20 I believe or 1/4 in hex socket will work. Also after removing and reinstalling the filter do a Diagnostic test to reset washer. DO THIS EXACTLY to go into diagnostic mode... temperature, soil level, spin speed...3 times in rapid succession and you should be in that mode. It should unlock door and reset codes...good luck
