OK my question is why no oil to lubricant the rings? Like why they all run constantly dry?

The ring is designed to run dry, adding lubricant would wear it out faster. I believe they add something to the ring so that it acts like it is lubricated

From my research he is correct. I believe part of the reason is also because there is no air filter so by lubricating the gaskets they will collect debris overtime and wear out quicker.
