Hey guys, if you have a radio that does not turn on we will walk you through the procedure that we use. We will show you how to check the radio fuse and what to look for. Also we will show you where there is a hidden radio fuse as well. This will fix most of the problems related to radios. If that does not work you might have bad connection or bad radio. In my 2009 Kia Sportage there are two fuses the power of the radio. One is called AV and the other one is called audio in the diagram. I had replaced the audio one but that did not work. But checking The AV one showed it to be blown and replacing it fixed me up. I really appreciate your time. Removing the radio was not the solution man I appreciate you trying

Brilliant! Thank you for sharing. I've got a 2002 Toyota Tundra SR5 truck and my radio has no power. My mechanic checked the fuse under the wheel and said it was fine. He said it's either the electrical or I need a new radio. I will check to see where exactly the fuse(s) is/are and will pull out my radio and see if I have a fuse in the back and replace it too if need be.

AWESOME VIDEO i HOPE MY PROBLEM IS WITH ONE OF YOUR SUGGESTIONS. MY MAIN FUSES INSIDE THE TRUCK ARE GOOD AND I HAVE NOT CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD OR ON THE BACK OF RADIO ON MY FORD RANGER 2000. I HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY LAST RADIO A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO WITH THE DISPLAY GOING OUT BUT ONCE IN AWHILE IT COMES ON NOT SURE WHY HUUM. I WILL TRY YOUR SUGGESTIONS AND THANKS.

My problem was a wire had fried behind the aftermarket deck. I got fresh splices on it and recrimped them together and waalaa. Radio works again thank god. Ive never had this happen in the 2+ years ive had it lol.

Same. My fuses under my hood and under my dash are both good. I took my 2013 tundra radio out and it didn't have a fuse in back. Randomly my radio worked for me for 1 day and then stopped working again.wire harnesses are in good shape. I can't figure out what's going on.

Pretty good video. I wish my car radio unit was that easy to take out. :) Anyways, I have an 04 Lincoln Town Car. My radio unit is a factory all-in-one radio/navigation/cd changer system that came with certain Town Car models for a few years. The fuses for this thing are in both locations; There's a fuse for this unit in the fuse box under the dash, and there is also a fuse for it in the fuse box under the hood. There is no fuse in the back of this radio/navigation/cd system. Because my cd player acts up lately, I try unplugging and then plugging back the fuse in the fuse box under the hood, in order to get the cd player to work again. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't always work. Do you know why this might be the case?

For everyone still having issues: Try disconnecting and then reconnecting your battery. Sometimes this will reset.

Exactly what Ford did when I took in my 2016 escape, the radio kept freezing with the bluetooth/phone feature.

My after factory radio didn't work after jumping the battery on my 03 Honda Civic. Fuses turned out fine, then saw this comment and tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and it worked! Thank you!

If it's not a fuse it could be a relay, short/bad wiring or radio is actually dead

On my Discovery the same alpine radio like this one was stuck ON and would not power off unless I turned off ignition.. could not adjust volume or change channel and inputs... fortunately it was on a channel I like and not too loud.. replaced stereo but liked having it plane inside to keep burglars away

just got my 2010 Tucson out of the shop 3 mths for engine work got the car on Friday and sunday it didn't even power up so tomorrow i'm gonna locate my fuses and look to see if I have those two holes so I can pull mine out i'm praying i'm not spending anymore money the cars I just won't have music lol i'm gonna try first

Sad you never got a reply… I’m actually have this issue right now with no online help. Radio gets no power, but the fuse is good and the wires are all good. New radio also gets no power. I don’t get I and I don’t wanna spend the money for a shop to take it.

That's easy... A blown fuse will have the middle piece where it connects burned out and no longer making the connection

Have a 2006 galant and did all the wiring without the connectors first to make sure it would work, it turned on but when I went to put it in to see what it would look like it shut off, now that I’ve used connectors and done everything right it won’t turn on again, I’ve checked the fuse in the back of the stereo and it’s fine, there was a blown fuse that I replaced and the radio still won’t turn on, have I broke the radio?

Hi, can l replace that part of the head unit which joins to the face, 2 of the pins are out of place, the face was not removed correctly and they are not aligned anymore, thank you

I experienced a radio that got frozen on (could not turn off and non of the controls worked-- but it played the radio music). I discontented battery and reconnected and it was back to normal.

Try resetting it. Hold down the source or power button until it goes to sleep. After doin so press and hold volume knob until the menu pops up, go to initialize then system reset

I wish mine was that easy of a fix. Last week my headlights stopped working to include the dome light and the radio. I have power coming past the fusible links in the 1988 chevy pickup truck. I'm really skunked on this one...any help would be appreciated

Try replacing the cigarette lighter, I had a 1989 Chevy Silverado and it did the same thing turned out I just had to replace the cigarette lighter.

I have a 2001 Alero and the radio lights would come on, but no sound. Any idea why that would happen? The radio used to work with sound but the sound stopped and the radio lights would come on.
