Thanks Duncan. Those pesky copper spring contacts were the culprit in mine too. All up and running as good as new now. Cheers!

Briefly note. The filled in hole would’ve had a 100w power nozzle socket, for a power nozzle. But they did away with that in 1999.

Hi great video, thanks. I have the same model which cuts out after about 2-3 mins because it’s overheating. Any idea what the problem is and remedy please? Thanks.

Sounds like its the motor overheating, try giving it a good clean out, especially the filters.

What toll are you using to open the 4 screws on the top of the hover pls

They are just normal Philips screws that hold the top on.

Hi mate. I've a henry of the same age and the nut/washer that attaches to the bottom of the motor/fan keeps spinning off as soon as I power it up. I've disassembled it and tightened it back on but it instantly loosens again. Any ideas?

Ive not seen that before, maybe the thread is damaged somehow ? If you have any spare nuts try a different one of the same size.

@@duncans-repair-tips it's very strange! I presumed it'd spin the opposite way in use to stop the nut from coming off? I mean it's only just done it after over 25 years! Are the nuts meant to be threadlocked on? Do they have a torque? Appreciate the reply.
