How To Fix Odometer / PRNDL Display 2001 Silverado

3 жыл бұрынWe watched other KZfaq videos on how to fix the odometer display, and we had to solder more than was shown in the other videos we saw. This particular truck is a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 5.3L, 4x4, with an automatic transmission.
For the full process of how to remove and re-install the gauge cluster, please see another video (sorry, we did not film the whole process). Hope this is helpful!

After years of "Love tapping" the dash on my 2000 to get the odometer on, it is finally fixed. Thank you Sir!

I was having trouble with my cluster,gas,tem, odometer wasn't working and battery light was on permanently,I figured the solution for my issue,it was the cruise control fuse inside the cab driver side. I hope this help some one,I did spend lot's hours trying to figure out the problem.

use Kester 186 flux, then wash the repair after with 90% Isopropyl alcohol.

Thanks just fixed mine. It was also the power resistors on mine too.

Thank you worked like a charm I used to have a yamaha that had a display for the fuel gauge every once in a while I would have to do the same thing to it

Anybody got ideas on why the ODO would stay on even after truck is off?

Mine works somedays I can tap it and sometimes that makes it come back on. Then fades again

It's pretty expensive.
