In this video, I will be showing you how to troubleshoot a laptop that won’t come on for one reason or the other. So you’re left with a blank or black screen with nothing on the display. I come across these situations quite a bit, so I decided to start recording my troubleshooting processes and sharing with you guys here on this channel.
There are several possible reasons why your laptop might not turn on, some major and some minor so certainly, some repairs are easier than others. What I will be sharing with you in this video and in subsequent videos in this category are some repairing tips and approaches to troubleshooting these kinds of issues in case you’re having one yourself. And if at the time of watching this video I have made the follow-up videos, then you can also check them out to see if any of them matches the situation of your laptop in case this one doesn’t.

I was at home, on my laptop, completing some very important paperwork. My laptop shut down and would not restart. The LED was on, but the laptop was dead. Took the battery out, ;held down the start button.... MAGIC!!!! Thank you so much!!!

I do not know how much I THANK YOU!! We have no money to buy another laptop especially in this pandemic. My mom and I were extremely problematic on where to get another laptop for my online class since there's no money and we can't go outside. I looked on your video, removed the battery and pressed the power button for 30 seconds then reattached the battery, charged, turned on, AND IT WORKED. I'VE CRIED OF JOY. Very useful video. In my own case, the power LED stayed on for a couple of seconds before going off. Tried draining the power as suggested but no change. Couldn't open it up checking for the RAM since I'm not a techie. So, what do you suggest?

Flip your laptop around and find a small hole there is an icon battery and use a needle press it down for 5 second . Than it can turn on. It is call battery reset works for me plus not all laptop have the hole at the back panel. For me I am using Acer and battery can't be remove and I think majiority laptop also have this small hole

Idk of this will help anyone but the first technique worked for me I have a lenovo ideapad it doesn't have a removable battery so i just removed the battery and pushed the power button for 20 seconds then plugged my laptop back to charging and then tried to turn on my laptop and it started to work Thanks man i Really appreciate it

Thank you so much! I just clean my ram and hd then leave it for like 30 mins and when i came back it works... I left it for about 30 mins because it was not working. But when I came back and I plugged in the adapter it automatically turned on. Was shock actually. :)

Guys, just press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, after that, let go and wait for like 2 seconds and press and hold the power button again for 30 seconds and turn it on. It works for me

Is it safe to work on the laptop when the battery is still attached? And still how do I work on my machine to reseat the RAM when I don't have an antistatic mat and an wrist wrap without risking destruction of the components by antistatic charge? Thanks in advance.

So I have a Lenovo laptop which has inbuilt battery and I fixed this problem by holding the power button for a minute then put it on charge the battery was at 1 percent now it's working first class!!

@@alfredwilsbury8397 basically while I was holding the power button I didn't connect the charger after like 1 minute of holding I plugged my charger in and it started charging after 10 minutes it was working sorry for the late reply
