If Windows 10 looks blurred, go to display settings and change your display resolution to 1280x720 (HD), 1920x1080 (Full HD), 2560X1440 (Quad HD), 3840x2160 (3k), 4096x2304 (4k) or 5120x2880 (5k). If the screen looks tiny, choose a higher percentage under "change the size of text, apps or other items". Old Windows applications might crash or look distorted, which can't be helped.

Same. Looking for ways to downscale monitor res cuz Im used to 1080p and my work monitor is 1440p and it's too high. If your eyes hurt, it's not the size itself but the resolution. More pixels = more eye strain

I did these and they worked temporarily for me. They probably will work for most.. I eventually changed my monitor cable and that has fixed my issue..

Thank you so much! I had problem with a new monitor, I could only select any other resolution except 1920*1089. When I tried to select it, it would change automatically to any other resolution with nothing I could do about it. I uninstalled the driver, installed a new one for my laptop monitor and then re connected the external monitor and downloaded a new driver and everything worked! Thanks so much!

Hi am using remote desktop and have access thru vnc as well as RDC. Am also having the problem that I can't change the resolution when I right click on desktop and go to display. It shows under Device Manager> Display adapters as "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". I want to install "Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630". So that am able to change resolutions. Could pls help me can I do so and how?

I don't understand what u did when u opened up displayed adapter properties, when I do that. Chip type and DAC TYPE, adapter string and bios info are all unavailable... yours shows the same thing then all of a sudden you have stuff there again I don't get it

Brooo OMG you are an angel you just earned a Sub ❤ I have a TV cuz i cant afford a monitor and the last update messed up my TV View everything was out of the border and i couldn't see the apps ive tried everything to turn it back of how it was before the update and u just did thank you men you are the best! 🙌 Edit: After i uninstalled it it keept installing back automatically every time i started a game cuz i have a gaming PC. So the only way it worked i pressed Roll back and send a message of why i want to roll it back. Cuz i have a TV. And i couldn't see my icons in the screen. Now its back to how it was im so glad man 😩🙌

Não necessariamente vai ser o cabo, as vezes pode ser uma configuração de taxa de atualização na parte de configurações > sistema > configurações avançadas de tela > taxa de atualização que é incompatível com sua placa de vídeo ou talvez até mesmo o monitor.

Thanks for the help! My first try was to change the display settings then I freaked out when I saw that I can only change it to 1280x800 or to lower resolution. I watched your solution where you checked the Microsoft basic display adapter, searched for updates to the driver and it showed me that I just have to install the windows update, now its back to normal.

@@hassanayoub1504 ok so, right click and press Display Settings. Then scroll all the way to the bottom. There should be a display resolution but under that is an Advanced Display button. Click it and you can change your refresh rate

So i´ve always had this problem, my recommended resolution is 1360x768 , if i change it to 1920x1080 the "screen" wont fit my TV (im using a TV not a monitor), the text looks all like dented. Any advice? I though that, if I upgraded my pc, with a XFX RX 579 8G things would be ok :(

maybe you didn't install your RX 579 Drivers? install them and manage your resolution settings from there m sure the problem will be solved.
