I doubt it will adhere to the logo. Most logos are sewn with synthetic threads as they are stronger. As long as you don't use dye made for synthetics, you'll probably be alright.

This particular dye is made for organic materials like cotton. The other colors on the hat are synthetic materials. You can buy dye that is made for synthetics as well.

@Fluffy Cats The dye that I used lasted 5 months of extremely hard use and multiple washings. It was a lot more durable than what the hats had when they were new.

What was in the measuring cup?

@@MJFITTV Good question. I think it was salt. The instructions on the dye specified what to use. I must have accidentally edited that part out.

Depends on what the logo is made from and if you bought dye for synthetic fibers or not. If it's for synthetics then it will most likely dye the logo as well.

The logo was synthetic fiber and the rest of the hat was cotton. The Dye I used wasn't for synthetic so it didn't dye the logo. Would probably work the same on yours.

Put tape on logo while dying .

Tried it - it does dye the stitching even if it’s polyester.

@@lindaduong289 It must depend on what the stitching and/or emblem(s) are made of. I imagine some synthetic fibers, like polyester, might resist the dye more than natural fibers like those made of cotton. Unfortunately it's hard to know what the stitching and emblems are made of.

I wanna know the same thing Edit: I tried it and it does not melt Edit 2: the plastic part did seem to shrink for whatever reason. If you do it, I suggest un-hooking the plastic part beforehand.

It’s salt, I’ve done this a handful of times and every time it required salt. I don’t know why just a ingredient.

Rit dye and he just threw them in. The polyester of the emblem kept it from being dyed.

The logos are made with synthetic fibers. The dye that was used is made for natural fibers. So, it didn't stick to the synthetic.

Same what did u end up doing? Throw it in the washing machine?

i think the dye only goes in normal material but the logo is made from an different material that doesnt get dyed

add the dye to the hat with a brush/rag and a eye dropper. go around the logos

@@michaelcarton3299 The worry is looking like Rudy Gulliani with dye dripping down the face if the instructions on the dye label aren't followed.

Not sure I have the time. It's an easy process and I think you'll be pleased with the results if you try it.

@Fluffy Cats Odds are it's only the cotton that's faded. If you do the same process as in the video you should similar results to the grey hat that I did.

I'm not say carburetor cleaner is a good idea but I've seen it take off super glue. Would have to be careful because it melts plastic as well.
