As others have said, a temporary fix only. You can as well just restart your phone, which also fixes the issue, until it happens again.

Just did it. Had to cycle through red green blue, but on the 4th time while it was on blue, the line disapeared. It does work. Thanks to the poster, saved me $200

Put your finger where the line was on your screen. Push hard while pulling your finger all the way up from bottom to top. All the way up to the height of the front camera. I bet the line comes back

@THE KID OF LINK AND ZELDA i don't know about nowadays, but back then the screen needed to be replaced in order to fix it and it was too expensive. not to mention that i also would've lost its water resistance as well as the fact the pink line may return again over time. in this case, it's just better to buy a new phone.

I came back to say thanks! At first it didn't work, but I kinda notice that it made the line a little bit thinner. So I did the cycle a hundred times, and now it's super thin that I hardly notice. Maybe it really does work for some, but I'm gonna go have my phone fix. Some YT vids says the problem is the LCD not being glued well. Still, thanks!

@@drzen7221 I had it happen a few times every couple months and this trick worked... but it was a bigger issue with the screen and the last time nothing worked and I had to get the screen replaced.

I've just bought a new s23 phone to replace my old note 20 ultra. Was planning to give the 2-year-old note 20 ultra to my wife. But what did you know, while I was transferring data from the note 20 to s23 suddenly a green line appeared on the note ultra. This really made me questioned the quality of Samsung product especially on a flagship phone like the note series. Now I'm worrying the same fate will be befallen on the s23. If this issue does occur to s23 phone than people should really consider ditching Samsung to other more reliable brand. There should be no excuses from Samsung. Samsung should have given free replacement screen for the victim affected by this issue. Its been happening since the release of the s20 series phone and now s21 and s22 are also affected by this problem. Seem like Samsung is playing the wai0ting game hoping the problem to only occur after the warranty period end thus denying responsibility after that.

There are A BUNCH of horizontal (when in portriat mode,) Black lines across the screen and they're all evenly spaced. You can see through them as they are very thin, but I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

I have a Samsung note 10+ and it had a screen protector on it. I dropped it almost a year ago now onto a rocking chair (Cushioned btw) and I wasn't able to use the screen at all with my fingers. The phone was a gift for graduation from my aunt so it was already used but it fell at least a food onto a cushioned chair and the screen just gave up. I can still see most of the screen but I have to use the spen for interacting with the screen. The phone has good memory and stuff so I wanted to keep it but the cost to replace is around 400 dollars. Just this week the pink line started to show up. I can't even get a job rn to try and buy a new phone. I've been applying and I have heard anything. I just wish that phones were actually reliable. This broken phone is the only way I'll be getting a job and if it quits then I literally have nothing.

I also have note 10+ it had a crack in the bottom left of the screen and had a black spot but it worked pretty fine i can swipe left,right,up,down but at some point a pink line showed up at the very left edge which is kinda annoying to see

That’s because the guy who made this video is a fucking idiot. The reason the screen has lines is because the ribbon cable underneath the screen is broken. Pressing on the screen temporarily fixes that by pressing the broken ends of the cable together, making a connection. Once the pressure is gone, the lines come back. Pressing on the screen too hard will result in MORE lines.

Press the screen gently at a point one inch in from the top right hand corner. That will sort it.

Yup! Sometimes I need to do it a few times (go in and out of the menu then cycle though the colours) but it eventually works every time

Only lasts for around a day in my experience. This method is sometimes able to knock the pixels out of their stuck state, but will never fully fix the problem as it is actually hardware related

I think mine messed up when I used oculus rift because the phone got really hot at times and shut down so i think that burned something. It wont be software bexause it goes away when you press tip right of th3 screen so its a broke connection.
