How to fix touch bar on macbook pro ? Macbook pro FROZEN TOUCH BAR ISSUE AND RESOLUTION !

4 жыл бұрынSo, I wanted to start my work the other day and found that my touch bar on macbook pro 2019 15" is not showing up. I googled and found that it is a very common issue and tried few solutions. In this video I am demonstrating a solution that worked for me.

@@sksabiruddin4291 Hey there, Usually if it a software issue it should be fixed with the provided solution. However, if there is any hardware issue I am afraid you will have to contact apple service.

well the problem is that for my touch bar like a part of it is frozen as I can still see the volume and Siri and brightness icon but i can't make the volume louder or lower and can't change the brightness it's just frozen and not working but the other half is perfectly fine so in confused on what to do i was wondering if you could give me some advice since i have online class and all that stuff

Hey I’m having similar issue, additionally when the Mac goes to sleep, and when I open it back, the laptop would restart and it gives a sleep wake error report. When ever the laptop goes to sleep, this issue is happening. So I need help to figuring out if this issue is caused by my Touch Bar.

Hello 👋 Could you please advice what to do ? My MacBook is 2020 with touch-bar and I did all the steps as mentioned in the video, however, after I type: Sudo kill all “Control Strip” press return, it shows No matching processes were found. I also tried to stop it in activity monitor and it was not even showing in there. When I check settings I can’t find a folder where it says Touch Bar in keyboard. I can find it only by searching it manually. At this point, I had this issue a few times and sometimes I can reload my Mac by press and hold of a turn on button and it’ll start showing again or it can take a month or even more until it’s gonna be shown again which can’t be predicted.

Hey, in this case try to drain the battery completely and start the MacBook. For some people this solution worked.

I downloaded pock for my touch bar and once i went to customize it and once i go to done. it just goes back to the same menu and if I dont have it running my touch bar is just black but if im on the web it pops up for internet usage. i tried what you did in the video and i still cant see my touch bar.

I spilled some water on my mac and to my surprise everything worked as it should. However, as I used it a little longer, my touch bar disappeared. I started watching youtube videos to try and fix my problem, but it seemed like everything that worked on everybody else, would just simply not work on mine. It was like my mac was built with a touchbar without the software to follow it up. After reading and trying everything i eventually just gave up. So frustrated and tired of failing i decided to try one last thing. I blowed as hard as i could on my touchbar, then pressed down the turn off bar for at least 10 seconds. I finished off closing my macbook and gave it a good and wet kiss. I then reopened my mac, wrote in my password, and there it was; my fuqing toch bar. I am soo happy and thank you for nothing at all, this was all me. Hope this can help any others.

Hi Liaquat, that is strange. I had few people facing the same issue and mostly this solution worked for them. You reinstalled the OS, that is bit extreme. I wonder of there is any hardware issue. Did you try to research that?

I think this lag is not doing only for the touchbar but for whole the computer.

Hi Vince, if it the whole system that is lagging or slowing then this solution will not help. Try to analyze and see what process are taking too much memory or is there any background service which is slowing the whole system.

I tried to refresh touch bar via a command and it says that "No matching processes were found". Also, I already tried to restart it but still the same. Even in the activity view app I cannot find the touch bar.

Hi Lauren, Do one thing. Drain its battery completely. Play some 4K video etc. macbook will die and then power it on. This worked for few folks, might be useful.

@@IncrementalNova well yesterday it went black and not responding until i went to the keyboard thing to turn it on the expand control strip, so its now just at the control strip with the brightness, all apps, true tone, fast forward, sound, and siri. So do you know how to fix it back to how the touch bar used to be?

Hey Jasmeet, If that is the case then please try to drain the battery once and let it restart. That would resolve any SOFTWARE issue. What I have noticed is if that doesnt work then probably it is hardware related issue.

At first, my touchbar doesnt respond eventhou I follow thr steps and restart. But then after a while, it pops out and working just fine. I think it needs time to adjust after the process. Thank you 🙏

This was not working for me and was coming up with no matching processes even after restarting. Try to force turn it off by holding the power button to the top right. This made everything work for me. Thank you so much for this video 🔥🔥🔥

It say: „No matching processes were found“, when i try the „sudo killall „ControlStrip““ command. The process also doesn’t show up on the activity monitor. Please help

Please try to drain the battery completely and then restart the MacBook. For some people that trick has worked. All the best !

@@IncrementalNova Yes I tried both the solutions but didn't worked for me. I had also did the diagnosis which showed me the message that "There may be issue with the touchbar" with reference Code: DFR001

sir my macbook suddenly stopped showing touchbar not even control strip doesnt show up on avtivity monitor neither does the touchbar and even in settings touchbar option is gone for some reason

both commands and battery drain didnt work for me either. i sent it to apple service partner and they quoted me 22K Rands. obvious its close to buying a new machine and i cant pay that. since its responding and no light i will add labels on the space between the touchbar and screen.

Hi There, Sad to hear that. I believe it is an hardware connection issue rather than a software glitch. One last step you could try is this just to make sure it is not software issue: Try going to ACTIVITY MONITOR through spotlight search. (Command + Space) then search "control strip" there and select quit.

I have a big problem, my touchbar stills working, but i barely see the icons, i have to turn my house lights off just to see a little bit of the content, i run a diagnostics and it says there is no problem
