I am brand new to knitting, just figured out the 1x1 rib stitch, and of course made a few accidental incorrect stitches. I’m making swatches of every new stitch I learn (learn the stitches before I invest in yarn and expensive needles type of concept). This video just saved my Rib swatch along with future fits of rage and anger 😂 Thank you 🙏

Thank you so much for your tutorial. I am a beginner knitter and was almost finished knitting a hat when I found mistakes. I didn’t really know how to fix it. I tried but failed and frogged it completely. Now I am a little more confident I can fix a mistake. Practice makes perfect. Thanks again.

When frogging back I use a piece of yarn threaded through the right leg of every stitch then you rip back and your stitches are safe . That's what I learnt off nimble needles (?) I call him nimble Norman 😅

How about picking up a dropped stitch?
@erica_arndt
@erica_arndt 4 жыл бұрын
You would do it the same way as fixing a knit or purl. Just knit to the area you dropped it, then use your fixing tool to pick it up using the bars between the stitches all the way up as if to knit (or purl) depending on what that stitch was supposed to be. Hope that makes sense!

Nice. How do u fix when you have working yarn one behind last loop on needle?
@erica_arndt
@erica_arndt 7 ай бұрын
Hi Sandy, I'm not sure I totally understand, but if you have your yarn coming out between your last loop and second to last loop it just means you forgot to knit that last stitch. So turn your work back around, and knit the final stitch. If you meant something else feel free to email and I'll see if I can help! :)

Great video! Do you know how to fix this common knitting problem: you’re happily knitting in-the-round ( so your tube looks like stockinette), and the phone rings. Then, when you return to your project, you accidentally resume knitting in the wrong direction; not noticing the wonky stitch you’ve created until many rows later. Any suggestions would be helpful.
@erica_arndt
@erica_arndt 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, usually what happens is that when you pick it back up, you start knitting the opposite direction that you were previously knitting in. So you get a weird looking stitch where you turned around. When you set it down then pick it back up again, make sure the yarn tail is coming out of your right hand needle. (If the yarn is coming out of your left needle you're going the wrong way) That way you won't accidentally go the wrong direction :)
