Nice scenic flight from Airfield Albstadt-Degerfeld to the castle of Hohenzollern (10:35) and back. Whole flight takeoff and landing from the cockpit.

Not many people know this - That big fan in front is actually only used to keep the passengers cool.. The small prop in the cockpit is the thing that makes all that racket and maintains the thrust. The Russians really know how to design a fun airplane. Love this thing! Keep the smiles coming.

Got to love the Annie. AN2 is a respectable aircraft gracing the skies for over 75 years. Well engineered, simple, sturdy, strong albeit a bit slow it has given reliable service all this time, all over the world. A true legend!

In Angola in the 80's I tried for a couple of days to trade a flight in my King Air 200 for a chance to fly the AN2. The pilot was a Russian and would probably of been shot for doing it back then.

Surprinsingly low vibrations, and the engine sound is ...pleasant to me. Engine indestructible. And so is mainly the entire plane. Super short take off and landing distances, basically able to land by by istself if the pilot fall asleep. If it stalls, it falls to ground at the speed of a parachute. And that´s the procedure stated in the manual, in case of engine failure with cero visibility, pull the handle and wait. Able to cruise at 200 km/h in stages of 900 km. (560 m) with 15 passengers and cargo aboard, at any time. direction or road condition. Top speed about 260 km/h if needed. Tell me how many buses or trains can do the same.

Amazingly the Chico (California) Air Museum has one of these at the airport. It is not flying, just sitting outside. It is complete; but the canvas needs work. Really big, in Aeroflot colors.

+Alleswasspassmacht with all respect...this video is not HOW TO FLY...is a HOW TO RIDE in an AN 2 in co pilot seat .....and from europe to usa...only if u add a lot of extra fuel tank...the engine ASH-62 have a fuel consumption 300 g/hp per our ......this mean that u spend 50 gallons/h,depent on RPM....if the AN-2 have a fuel tank capacity of 300 gallons then do the map....in other hand ,the AN 2 still in production,is the only plane that can fly as low as 25 mph,cessna with 50 mph if he do less cessna stall,and believe or not the AN 2 can fly backward(with very strong winds).....anyway thanks for the ride ..i fly one for 23 years

Pretty good forward view for a tail dragger. The only planes I have ever flown myself were a Cessna 150 and a Piper Cherokee........Oh would I Love to get a hold of one of these babies.

Great airplane. Nice airco :) You can see the russian artificial horizon works just the other way. Horizon stays in place, plane figure moves. What is that yellow box for on top of the panel? The pilot touches it one in mid flight.

I did see that the two Manifold Pressure gauges were working, as well as the clock. Maybe an ammeter? :) Believe the Attitude Indicators were caged. AN-2, a great airplane.

Alleswasspassmacht 1800 RPM and its flying? Im impressed. Flew American C-97 With four R-4360 P&W radials and I needed 2300- 2500 rpm to cruise safely and economically. The C-97 also had 4 bladed props. This AN-2 certainly looks back to the early days of flying. those massive barn door wings and full length flaps must have helped the plane carry heavy cargo and land at very slow speed. I would love to do a cross country as pilot in this aircraft. Feels like flying back in time. Love it.

Hier geht noch (Betonung auf Noch!) vieles was Spass Macht! Wenn Du mal auf meinen Kanal guckst siehst Du dort weiter unten die "Alaska Bushflying" videos, herdenweise, die Zeigen was uns hier so Spass macht. In den guten alten Zeiten gab es hier auch An2 's, die wurden aber von der FAA vergrault ... Hatte aber das Glueck viele Flugstunden An2 ueber Alaska einzusammeln, bevor das hier zuende ging... Naja mein KZfaq-Video-Kanal zeigt so ziemlich genau was ich mache. Ich fliege hier seit 1996 und betreibe seit 2012 die Vertriebsorganisation fuer das Oratex BetterAircraftFabric, das in Deutschland hergestellt wird...Ansonsten restauriere ich gern seltene alte Flugzeuge und gebe mich begeistert der Buschfliegerei hin. +saitam73 Ja das ist eine T-6 die Super Six von Guido Voss (Vereinsvorsitzender vom LSV Degerfeld) hat auch einen Channel auf KZfaq da kannst du die T6 fliegen sehen, sogar aus dem Cockpit ;)

"How to fly" - the viewer may expect a short manual, not rotating the starter without a single word about switching avionics, ignition, fuel pump and so on (I don't know this plane, just was curious if starting is much heavier than C-172).
