- Create a designated sacred space for focused work. Keep it clean, minimalistic, and free of distractions. - Treat yourself and your time as sacred. Don't let unimportant things distract you. - Do a 'hard reset' with intense exercise followed by belly breathing to clear your mind and reduce stress. - Ditch timed study sessions. Go with the flow and take breaks when you naturally lose focus. - Change up your sacred space periodically to keep things fresh. New environments help cement knowledge. - If you still can't focus, switch to an easier task or take a complete break. Rest is important. - Use a cycle of high intensity focus, exercise, and rest.

I'm an Indian and I'm amazed at the way you have mentioned work/study space as "sacred space". This is exactly how my grandmother used to say it. She always mentioned to not eat, or sing or litter the study space. Set a standard and respect that space. Never take a nap in that space. If u are ever not able to work, get away from there and maintain the sanctity. We have deities, Saraswati for learning, Gayathri for focus and Hanuman for determination. She always mentioned to summon them before we started our process.. It's funny how all these sounded like a bs then, now as a 35yo adult, with 15 years experience in software engineering, I realised how these things would have made my life easier and better had I followed them. But better late than never..

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:14 🛡️ *Designate a Sacred Space for studying or working to create a focused environment. No distractions allowed inside this space.* 01:37 🧠 *Keep your Sacred Space clean and minimalistic; clutter drains brain power. Study near natural light for increased focus.* 03:56 🕰️ *Treat your time and focus as sacred; eliminate distractions, including subtle ones. Be the CEO of your life and prioritize your mission.* 06:18 🌬️ *Perform a "hard reset" for your mind with high-intensity exercise and belly breathing to clear distractions, reduce stress, and enhance cognitive performance.* 07:42 ⏰ *Avoid timed study sessions; stay in the Sacred Space as long as possible. Adapt to your daily variations, and don't strictly adhere to a fixed schedule.* 08:54 🔄 *Change your Sacred Space periodically to avoid staleness and improve long-term memory retention. Different environments create multiple associations with the studied material.* 09:48 🧠 *If focus is elusive, change the difficulty of the task, work on something less taxing, or take a break. Don't force it; recharge and try again later.* Made with HARPA AI

That’s high quality information, thanks you so much. I’ve got a question about the High intensity training if you can bring light to my case, I’m doing like 10min every morning after waking up followed by a cold shower ,to maximize my energy level but I started to lose some weight (obviously) and I was wondering if it will end up with the opposite result and be more tired, I really loved your approach of Hitt during breaks but how much of it 😅. Would also love a video about a meal plan to optimize time energy and focus, I didn’t find anything interesting yet on this matter on KZfaq and personally I really struggle with it, I know our brain need carbs but after eating I always get knocked out. Thanks 🙏

That's a great morning routine. I think it's hard to generalize as everyone has different metabolisms and ability to handle exercise - I say just treat it as a grand experiment. Try doing this routine for 2 weeks vs 2 weeks of something else. Keep all other variables constant and see which one makes you feel more awesome! HIIT doesn't have to be that long for breaks - the article I found on it for brain growth had their subjects do just 4 to 6 minutes. Sounds good! Will keep that video in mind!

Hey man this is amazing stuff thanks for making it! I was wondering if you could delve deeper into the "macro" level stuff that you mentioned in the previous video. How you developed the singular focus of getting into medical school and how you started gathering various experiences/juggling a lot of things which pretty much accelerated your growth allowing you to get into medical school. For me currently I am in undergrad and the thing I struggle with the most is getting that "macro" level purpose which allows a person to go out and really build their resume with experiences. I was wondering if you had any thoughts/ideas about this and willing to share them in a video. Thanks again for the valuable content!

Pomo: Flow interruption is valid, however many will not reach it, and regular interruptions are for the "normie" student a good reminder to stay on track, have small constant hits of dopamine (I finished one!), GET some sun, sugar, and movement, bio breaks, and also to not zone in on one topic without going back and reviewing what you've been studying.

I have a small room and my bed is my studying and sleeping space so what I can do. Even if I have a designated soace but it is so small that it cannot become a sacred bubble where I have pure focus only. The one thing I can do is to train my brain to get the intuitive behaviour of studying whenver I have table on my bed and sleep when it is not there(in night time).
@spoonfedstudy
@spoonfedstudy 5 ай бұрын
That does sound tough. I know you are making the best of the situation. If you haven’t already, try to change the setup of the bed for each thing in more obvious ways. Bedsheet off for studying, on for sleeping, etc. Or just do your bed and keep it meticulously clean when you study. Best of luck 🤞

This dude starts by criticizing the impracticality of other "productivity" videos, but then proceeds to make one that's like the rest. The only useful tip is to dedicate the bedroom for only sleep and not work there. He talks about a "sacred" workspace, where you will only work and do nothing else. Does he expect us to take our laptops to some other table when we want to take a break and watch entertaining videos? Later on in this video he tells us us to change our workspace and go to the coffee shop for example 🤣 Which is very distracting for some people. The most absurd thing he said was that Pomodoro timers aren't scientifically proven to be useful. This video isn't scientifically proven to be useful either so let's just ignore it 🤣 How many productive people actually do all these things? They do stuff naturally without having to remember these stuff. The worst thing you could do to yourself is keep watching these kinds of videos when you should be checking your cognitive function level. Also, of all the music he could have criticized, he went with the one he was least likely to get any backlash for. He wouldn't have dared to say something about loud heavy metal music 🤣
