I love them all, but my favorite is the cutting board with the raised stencil and resin door. THE LAYERING! Certainly not a quick-n-easy, but the process of applying and blending layers of color is something I've always loved to do (colored pencil is my jam, but will try with paint, too!) and the outcome is gorgeous. The box in the first project would be perfect for small pots of herbs in a sunny window. Thanks Linda, as always so many great ideas!

I love the attention to detail you give your painted pieces. I too tend to get carried off in layering and details and end up almost living in the piece I'm working on. How do you factor in your labor and materials for determining retail price for your beautiful work?

Thank you & that’s a great question! I haven’t had time to actually sell my pieces yet, though that is my intention. I’ve thought about how I would price the more detailed & time consuming ones, but I don’t have an answer. I don’t think I can recoup my time, which really sucks because those are the projects I enjoy the most, but maybe it’s a trade off for getting to do what I love? The basic formula for calculating a price would put my detailed pieces at a price that I doubt anyone would pay. Wish I could be more helpful but I haven’t figured it out yet.
