Just like with any relationship, when you feel distant you gotta put in the work to get back in good standing. In human relationship it's not always your fault but our relationship with God is different we are always the problem.

I think sometimes God lets us feel far away from Him even when we are striving to stay close because we learn to trust Him more completely, instead of relying on our feelings, which can be deceiving. Even feeling close to Him could be a deception. Consider the Pharisees who thought they were closer to God than "sinners" because of their position, knowledge of the word, and their strict adherence to the law. Jesus rebuked them over and over again but they didn't "get" it.

Needed to hear this I have felt distracted from God I go to church every Sunday and I come home to my home where my mother allows premarital sex, alcohol, drugs, verbally and emotionally abuses me. Please pray that I stay strong in the Lord and removed from this bondage... Thank you

One of the best 12 minutes I spent. Funny thing is I've been struggling a lot lately. I question everything, and I'm bitter towards the world. But the thing that gets me is that week before I was on FIRE for God and now I'm finding it hard to even pray without feeling empty. This video was an eyeopener for me, thank you it was just what I needed. I feel God speaking through this video, God bless.

As someone who feels like a lukewarm Christian, it’s amazing to me how I can put my worries aside and just stop and say “God has my back” and suddenly everything just feels like it’s going to be okay. It allows me to focus on my goals despite the pain and I myself interpret that as a form of the strength of the lord mentioned in the Bible

Five essential questions to ask when we feel disconnected from God: 1. Is there some sin in our lives we are not turning from, not confessing, not repenting from? Psalm 32: 3-5. 2. Are we spending consistent time with God doing activities that feed the spirit? 3. Are we spending consistent time with God's people in Christian Community? 4. Are we being distracted by something? Are we consumed by something other than God? Luke 10: 38-42 5. Are we caring for ourselves?

I have friends, many close ones, but so few are Christian and believers. I've recently discovered that the hard way that I need to surround myself with more Christians. It's been a nice and refreshing wake up as well. I could also use some prayers if anyone on this comment section has some free time in their day. This is a great video as I need to get back to being right with God and I feel like I'm making progress but keep stumbling here and there. But at least it's progress.

I’m afraid I am not going to see my Father in heaven. I was struggling with OCD and anxiety and a event that happened to be has been haunting me and has caused deep stress and I believed fear. I never gave God a chance. Today I was happy rejoicing in God trying to fight my past and the fear came back. I was heartbroken and got on my knees and cried to God. I actually blasphemed against the Holy Spirit our of anger towards God and felt immense guilt. My mother reassured me and when everything was okay I got an intentional thought of challenging God and got a thought that I actually blasphemed the Holy Spirit. After that that I was torn and filled with guilt knowing I would never challenge my Father. I am extremely scared I let fear win. I truly love God and Jesus and fear Him but my thoughts have tormented me. I have failed God who I love so much. I had such a good soul and believed in Jesus but didn’t have faith. I’m so scared.

Oh my goodness. What a time to do a video. I've been struggling with God. Lots of anger, confusion, resentment, frustration...and I've taken it all out on God because I am sick of feeling like He doesn't care. About 2 hours ago, I literally was telling Him that I just want to walk away because I don't understand why I am excluded from the peace, love, self-control, patience and other fruits He promises through the Holy Spirit. I want the witness of the Holy Spirit. I've been at this for months and am just exhausted of trying to perform for Jesus.

2020 has brought me back to the big man. I spent a long time being angry and bitter at him for my reasonably unpleasant life. But one day I just felt like I wanted to give him another chance. And now I'm feeling better.

I’ve only been in the light of the ALMIGHTY for 15 months and pray all the time for me to be on fire for the MOST HIGH for the length of my days. I see how people fall off or stumble and I for sure don’t want that for me.

I felt like if you were talking directly to me , because I have been feeling far from God , I can relate with all that you said , God bless you.

I’ve been praying to God, asking Him why I haven’t felt that fire lately . This showed up on my feed, i feel it in my heart that it’s the confirmation I needed to hear. I won’t just ask the questions I’ll will make sure to take action, and live them out. God is good!

Feeling disconnected currently.. I have been praying for certain things in my life for a long time, and eventually started to get disconnected from God not because I lost faith but I just got tired of praying about the same thing over and over again and not receiving answers. Hopefully I can get back in track. 🙏🏾

I came here because I’m sure God wanted me back in his presence. I was once dreaming of dying for Jesus while sharing the Gospel to others. I lost my way. My soul is empty. I don’t feel God anymore. All i wanted is to help my self and my parents. I’m struggling with sexual sin. I can’t go to church because of pandemic. Please pray for me.

Unfortunately, as a teenager, it's really hard to find Christian friends your age that take God seriously. The friends that I have say they are Christian, but they don't really get deep into spiritual talks. My sister used to go into deep spiritual talks with me, and we used to pray with each other, but it seems that she lost her fire for the Lord. When I try to talk about spiritual things with her now, she just seems to brush it off her shoulder, not really caring anymore what I had to say, and what experiences I'm having.

I haven't been taking care of myself like I should. I haven't been getting enough sleep. I haven't been eating much or eating the right things. Running back and forth to my children school's. I pick my Bible up and fall asleep. Thanks for the tips. It's not easy being a single mom. I wish all the weight of the responsibility wasn't on me alone. I don't even have the support of family on my side to help. I'm constantly focusing on what I need to do for the children. So it has become a big distraction. I need God more than ever right know. Please keep me in your prayers. Pray that the load I'm carrying gets a little lighter.

It was really hard for me to search for help for feeling disconnected because of how deeply I love him. I'm glad I didn't listen to the enemy saying "you should feel ashamed and He's not gonna hear you anymore because you abandoned him"..This video definitely helped me narrow down what's been happening. It makes me feel far from God when I ask him to speak to me with an audible voice and he doesn't do it again but I am glad he doesn't allow demons to do it.

I'm so lazy. I miss the days when i used to praise,worship and pray to God. Now, i'm just so lazy, i don't feel God, too lazy to repent, overthinking,anxiety,fear. Sometimes i think that he will not heal me anymore because of how bad i am.. Sometimes i think i did the unforgivable sin. Please pray for me! I've been a Christian my whole life and am currently 21. I've always prayed and kept God in my life but haven't read the Bible or gone to church while growing up, and lived my young adult life surrounded by non believers which has made it difficult to spark my passion for God and Jesus. I've recently had a major boost in motivation to learn and walk with God after praying for help. I just finished the book of Genesis for the first time and your videos have helped me answer a LOT of questions that have been bouncing around in my head my whole life. There was a time many years ago where I walked close with God....but I fell away. Throughout this falling away, God rested on my mind though, I'd pray, but I felt no connection, and further into the darkness did I go. Porn, meanness, and general depravity have ruled my life. The whole time I absolutely detested myself. I wanted to be better, but couldn't find the will to actually change myself. I got caught up in a destructive cycle of sin and shame, hating myself more and more, thinking of God and seeking his light more and more. When not distracted my thoughts would often reflect on the Bible. I studied it from Genesis to Revelations when I was walking with God and I love to think on it even now. Today I prayed to Jesus, and in my prayer I said I absolutely did not deserve any kind of forgiveness, but isn't that the very definition of grace and mercy? I found your video, which is very well done by the way, and I see in your background live by grace, not perfection...which could not have been more relevant to me and my life. Thank you for the uplifting message. My souls feels at peace at the moment and I can't help but to think your video has blessed me, and I hope God blesses you in return.

I can relate with the point 5, sometimes when I reach to God for help after that I have the necessity to rest physically, have a nap. I have those difficulties when I'm in a stressful situation and after God showed me his mercy through the Bible then i finally can catch a few "Z's"

This was an excellent video, and Bible based! Without getting into too much detail, I realised that I had become disconnected from God and felt discouraged. I realized that I had not given up and repented from a sin that I have been unwillingly for some time to give up. To be honest, I've been trying to convince myself that I had given up that sin, or that it was "okay" to commit that sin because of my relationship status. Anyways, just the past few days I made the ultimate decision to officially repent from that sin and got rid of a certain item that was holding me captive to that sin. I'm in the process of repenting and my goal this Sunday is to get back into church and seek fellowship with other Christians.

So am I to believe my disconnect from the Lord is based on feelings? You can’t trust how you feel certain days. But trust in God’s word alone. But we do have the flesh, which lives off feelings and emotions. Not good. Easy to say but so hard to do.

I know that this is a little bit bad, but I think that one reason it's easy to spend too much time on other things, especially other people, than God is because we can see and touch everything in this world, but we don't see or hear verbal responses from Jesus. In Heaven, it will be much better because we'll get to see Jesus, be around Him, give Him a hug, and everything we've been wanting to do but can't in this life.

I have no community. Most other men just enjoy going to church, waiting for God to do something for them. Most just go to church as a ritual or to please their wife. Most don't even read the Bible.

Going through and noting things down while watching: --- -Repent from unconfessed sin: if you notice something that you've been holding onto, let it go. Seek wisdom from God to see areas of your life that are yet to be yielded, sins you've yet to repent of, or simply lukewarmness that needs to be set on fire. Sin is *never worth it*: we're very quick to forget the heavy toll it takes on our mind, body, and soul, *dragging* us down not even minute by minute, but second by second. Bring it to the cross: repent - turn from it - and let it go. God also calls us away from sin when we're 'stuck in it'. From Psalm 25, "Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net." Notice: 'shall'. Look to Him and be free: He wants you to be free, too. God is freedom: sin pretends to be freedom, but to yield to it is instead to chain yourself down. For those of us who trust in Christ, we should not 'live condemned' but live free in Him, and that means free of such guilt. Seek His strength, bring it to Him, and be free. --- -Spend time with God: prayer, reading His Word, music: we're built differently, but I know at the least all of us should be spending time in His Word and in prayer! Myself, I try to read the Bible while taking notes (or even just transcribing what I read via keyboard), and reading with the site 'Blue Letter Bible' open: lots of interesting study notes! Ray Comfort of Living Waters gave the advice 'read before eat.' Trying to follow that. Try to pray and thank God for every day, too, even before getting out of bed. --- -Spending time with Christian community: church pops into mind, but also these channels, family, or others in a way. =Encouraging one another: and getting courage from them! =Love one another: and receiving love from them! =Carry one another's burdens: and, of course, carrying burdens for others. =Admonish one another: accountability. Find someone to be accountable to, at the least! You need perspective and watchfulness! =Build one another up: God sometimes 'tears us down' - but He desires this for our good and benefit. Not to our destruction, but that we may be fixed up again, rather than remaining crooked. So, too, ought we to build one another up. =Instruct one another: you need to be taught! You'll also have things to teach others from time to time, I'd imagine. =Confess to one another: be open about your troubles and struggles. The devil wants sin to remain secret, and wants you to pretend to be tougher than you are. Despise the shame, bring issues to those who love you, and seek strength and guidance. It can be 'costly' from a worldly sense to do this - but I promise you it's worth it! =Pray for one another: seek prayer for yourself too, and be willing to take requests for prayer. We're not built to be alone. Myself: I've had health issues that have long acted as an obstacle for me for churchgoing - and hopefully not an excuse. I pray for strength and guidance to act wisely here, and not seek to use it as an excuse to avoid doing what God commands: that I have wisdom to do what He wants me to do. His commands aren't 'dull duties' but for our benefit. --- -Distractions from God: typically whenever our eyes are simply too set on this world: viewing it almost as a 'closed system' that you have to keep working within that you forget God, Who works above! This can be people, it can be hobbies (think: TV, games, etc.?), it can be career... It can even be simple worry, thinking too much about the world, and politics, and all its troubles. Terrible and painful as they can be, God has victory over death. Sometimes you need to learn about the news, or politics, and so forth: but don't let it dominate you, your thoughts, or your time. A good tip here: be wary of what seems 'addictive' to you! --- -Am I taking care of myself this season? Simple health! Get rest, try to eat well, get some exercise. Find some time to rest, find some time to work (God made us to work *and* to rest, not merely one or another!). BOTH are needed. This also ties in to accountability from others, from earlier. Sometimes you need an outside perspective. ==== Thanks for this vid!

Pls pray for me. I ve been living a healthy life so far n recently going through allergic asthma. I can't forgive my own self for not taking care of my health. I have forgiven every one except me. Though after praying continuously, for the first time I didn't use my rescue inhaler today. Thank God. Help me to forgive n feel your complete healing
