Hi Pinch Soft. I am having an issue with connecting to Nintendo WFC via this method, I keep getting error code 52100, which according to wiimfi, is an issue with the DNS code. Can you help me with this? I have tried a variety of DNS codes related to connecting a dsi to wiimfi but nothing works.

Glad to know this works as I thought I had a genius idea to rescue Pokemon trapped in the GTS...as it turns out though...they emptied the GTS for the black/white 1/2 series, but there's still pokemon trapped in the GTS for the 3DS games that aren't accessible without this trick. Time to play the hero and save some valuable pokemon before it all shuts down for good.

Okay, if I'm using my phones mobile hotspot to connect my DS Lite to NWC so I can play Pokemon Diamond, can I still use my phone if my phone is connected to my internet? Or will I have to disconnect my internet from my phone first and use mobile data?

I think it doesn't work with hot spot is like if the lock is red it would get a wep password but if it's silver it won't let u do nothing.

I was getting a 20110 error when using my phone as a hotspot because I hadn't turned off my phone's wifi. When I did, my 3DS was able to connect to Nintendo WFC.

Back in the day my dad warned about connecting my ds lite to the internet as it might get updated to not work with the illigal games on the sd card inside a ds card (akin to the popular r4, just a different brand) has anyone had any bad experience with that? I dont think my ds ever has been online but i am interested in it due to mariokart and pokemon online connectivity and also other stuff

It does not work for me, when I try hotspot from phone the lock icon is grey (meaning DS wont allow connection) and when I try our router it's red (wich mean it can connect but you need a password). tried it a few times, also tried getting closer to router but it kept givint me a 52001 error. anyone got any suggestions on how to solve this? Edit: I got a DS lite, I assume it might be because of the fact that this one only can connect to certain type of internet. but seen that the lock is red and not grey I thought it might but I'm doing something wrong. can anyone confirm? also, I'm running pokemon platinum from my R4. so it's not the legit game cardridge.

@@pika0ops Hello! Fortunately I was able to do it! I followed this video's same steps, with the exception of the DNS number, which I got from poke classic webpage. After you've done it and checked, you can just go to Jubilife and use the GTS, just make sure you're not routing a 5GHz signal and your net security is either wep or none at all, oh, and also make sure to have your ds very close to the routing point. You may get some error checks and disconnection sometimes, but it works... so far, I've traded three pokemon through GTS. If you want to, put in your friend code here, I'm very willing to have a buddy in the game, hahaha!

I’ve been trying to figure this out for a couple days now. I’ve been wanting to play online Pokémon White, but whenever I try to change the DNS to what was said to be used. Nothing changes. I only have access to WPA and I’m running out of ideas. Is there something I’m missing? I’ve tried doing this on a DS lite, DSi XL, and a New 3DS XL, and nothing has worked for any of them.

The DNS itself will only change regular DS games, but you can use it on 3DS consoles to work with older DS games

Okay so errors starting with 521 are DNS errors, so I'd recommend re-doing the DNS section of the video, and then trying it again from there. Also it's awesome to see that Spain is seeing this video too, I'm really glad to hear it!

That's because it's expecting a WEP code and you're most likely entering a WPA key. The WEP code is a really old thing that uses a hexadecimal format rather than ASCII.

@@jeaninepasveer277 The problem is that the original DS and DS Lite don't do anything more than WEP protection. The newer DS versions all do WPA. So, for the older models, you'll need a phone or something else that can become a hotspot and you can't put a WPA password on it. There's also WiFi repeaters that you can set up without a password that would work for this as well.

@@manny6265 No, the 3DS line and up do more modern WiFi. The 3DS and up will be just fine as of 2023. It's just the DS and DS Lite that have the older WiFi that doesn't work with modern WPA protocols. I don't know about the DSi since that's one model I don't have.

@@swizzzo go to your wifi router/modem admin settings (check the sticker on the back) & set the 2.4ghz wifi to 802.11b & wep security
