Thanks for the update! I have been watching the live webcams from Sturgis. It's amazing how many bikers roll thru the stop signs. It is the majority!.The riders seem to not like putting their feet down. They probably aren't aware of what they are doing but the police can have a field day if they want. Keep up the fine videos!

Great update. One thing the chief didn’t touch on is stop signs and flashing red lights. I believe it was mentioned last year. But in any case …. Make sure you stop, put a foot down and only proceed in pairs. Your whole group of 10 can’t go through the stop just because your together. The PD will write you for it. I was given a warning 2 years ago coming out of the back side of the chip. I stopped but didn’t put a foot down. FYI. Enjoy the party.

Poor life choices is what’s made Sturgis so popular! Solid content. Remember this is the City of Sturgis, and the open container is a certain area within the city. Things may be different outside the city and State (ie. Montana).

Very reasonable chief,enforces the states laws.common sense goes along ways.ive never had a negative encounter with police during the rally or any other time we are in SD!these are good videos to educate people on what they should already know!

Good advice all the way around. If I am guilty of anything, it's the rolling stop. I've been doing it for so long that I am going to have to practice to come to a complete stop and put my foot down.

I was unfortunately in the middle of a bad situation just off main street 5 or 6 years ago. Long story short, there was almost a full on Outsiders brawl between us locals. Under covers straight rushed everyone immediately. Not one punch was thrown. Didn't even see them coming. I was thankful, and that's how effective all that law enforcement is during the rally. You won't see them coming, so good luck pulling any shenanigans at the Sturgis Bike Rally.

When you have that many people jammed together in a crowded place if everybody put their foot down at the stop sign and made the driving more regular it wouldn't be a bad thing.

I do not think the Police "Get Off" by arresting people at this event. I see where it may need to be done from time to time. In addition, I saw an interview where he states that many additional officers are brought in from other states. These law enforcement personell are not always wearing uniforms. That is right, undercover. This is not a place to get casual.

Does Sturgis hire out of state cops to help with so many more people then the normal local population? I heard they did this.

Normally cops hate paperwork and having to go to court. However at events like this they love giving tickets out because 99.9% of people are out of towners who will never show up for the court date and just pay it. I will say it’s nice of this guy to come on the channel and do this.

Those laws sound fairly reasonable compared to many other states and cities.
