Ps. I actually really admire that you don't have clickbait, youtube drama, youtube friends etc. Just to build more subscribers. You stayed the same inspirational Kalyn I fell in love with. You obviously matured and had self development, but I feel like you are still very down to earth. I've outgrown most beauty you ubers but I will never ever stop watching you ❤️

I’ve started keeping a journal literally just dedicated to your videos, especially these daily brews. Flexibility and ability to adapt to the desired environment beneficial in the long run. It doesn't mean you're being someone else, it's more about sensing what other people are also looking for.

I've meet people who are very likeable at first but turn out to not to be genuinely nice and it's always a disappointment to realize that and makes me not to trust them anymore. So I would rather be always genuinely kind but not everyone's cup of tea.

I feel like the 'starting slower and building a good foundation rather than sky rocketing into things' is great advice for lots of things other than career, ie relationships, projects, self-improvemnt etc...

This is SO relevant to me right now. I just started university last week and I’ve been so obsessed with making new friends, and what I need to do to fit in with everyone, that I was starting to forget about myself and how to work on my own character. This definitely put things into perspective for me and I’ll definitely be using this knowledge moving forward ❤️ Love from British Columbia! 🏔

I was just talking about this topic with my best friend the other day. We were talking about how we are growing slower than someone else in the community of Instagram and KZfaq we are in. This is great advice for people feeling like they aren't good enough or other people are better because they are growing quicker. It's nice to know that other people have felt this way. Thank you!

This is exactly what I needed to hear today. I’ve been working on putting such valuable content on my KZfaq channel and my Instagram channel, but the comparison game has always been in the back of my mind, specially with the competitive nature of being a presence online. I’m always surprised when people like me because I’m not a “people person.” But I’ve had a few people tell me it’s because I’m authentic, which I feel like is kinda synonymous with character nowadays.

Just be yourself and stay true to yourself. Self love is so important. Nobody can love us if we can’t love ourselves!! Stay away from negative people in your life. Surround yourself by positive, motivating, inspirational people

Thank you so much for this video! Since I'm at the beginning of my YT jounrey I feel the same way as you in the beginning sometimes. That I grow so slowly and other people grow so quickly... And so I ask myself sometimes if I´m doing something wrong or if I´m maybe just not so likeable like the other people?

I compare myself to a lot of people and see them gaining views and subs and I’m growing so slow. I’m still waiting for my channel to “blow up”. I feel like I’m not likable sometimes. Thank you for sharing this I really needed it 😩❤️❤️❤️

I find I like a mixture of both: personality people as well as character people. One thing I will say is that especially online - there aren't a lot of 'character' type people, and I would like it if more people did tend to mix both personality and character, since that would allow the person that's presenting themselves online, to have depth. I think that's probably why I enjoy watching the more 'serious' TV shows, because it makes me 'think' a lot more. Over the past 3 or 4 years, I feel as if I've developed my character a lot - and it's something that's never-ending; I'm always learning.

If it's okay, I'll like to give feedback. I feel like the title of the video does not match the message. That's not to take away from the message b/c it was great and really resonated with me but I think it was less "how to get people to like you" and more "stop trying so hard to get people to like you"

Kay G - I couldn’t agree more and was just going to write that same comment myself! There have been a few videos of Kalyn’s lately which really haven’t matched up to their chosen title. And although the videos themselves have been very inspirational, I DO find it frustrating. Because I don’t always have time to watch all of Kalyn’s videos so I pick and choose the ones that interest me most purely based on the titles. If trhe videos don’t match their titles then I’m probably missing ones that could have interested me but put me off due to the titles or watching videos that don’t actually interest me that much because I was expecting a very different topic. It does feel like Kalyn sometimes goes for clickbait titles which don’t accurately reflect the videos’ topic, such as this one! I really hope that, in the future, Kalyn will be more honest and upfront in naming her videos accurately! That way it will be far easier for her viewers to find the actual videos they want to watch !! 😄
