How to Get PERFECT VANILLA CUPCAKES Every Time

This is the only vanilla cupcakes recipe you will need. The texture is light, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth good. These cupcakes are super easy to make. We love these with our Cupcake Frosting.

I tried so many recipes of cupcakes, I didn't really like it, so I gave up on them, but recently my little daughter asked for a cupcakes, so Natasha's video came up and I gave myself another chance. People!!! You won't believe! They turn out SO DELICIOUS! I add only 1 cup of icing sugar to the frosting and it was still sweet enough to my taste. I can't express how delicious they are, better than a cake!!! If you are looking for a good recipe, stop here, I don't think you can find better one . Good job Natasha and thank you SO MUCH! The recipe, from the cupcake batter to the cupcake frosting was absolutely easy and delicious! I’ve made it twice now and the only adjustment I made, because I’m not a fan of super sweet frosting, is add 1 1/2 cup of powdered sugar instead of 2 cups like the recipe asks.🙂

If you don’t have buttermilk you can just add a bit less than half a cup of milk with about a teaspoon of lemon juice, mix and let it sit for 5 minutes... Viòla!

I doubled the recipe and it makes exactly 24 cupcakes filling the muffin cups 3/4 full in the tin that I have. For leavening I used 1 tsp of soda and one and a half teaspoons of baking powder in the doubled recipe. I felt I needed the soda for the buttermilk. I baked them at 350° for 18 minutes in a gas oven. So glad I did not leave them in for 25 minutes as they were done. I did NOT double the frosting recipe. It was more than enough frosting for 24 cupcakes and I piled it on each one, topping it off with a strawberry. These cupcakes were a great success at church. The frosting was over the top wonderful. I have made cream cheese frosting and whipped cream but I've never added them together.

I’m trying this right now. They are in the oven and honestly, I’m so exited. It was very lumpy as I ran out of baking powder so I replaced it with self raising flour and then I replaced buttermilk with normal milk. I whipped it for 3 mins, stopped whipped it for an additional 7 mins and then microwaved it and whipped it again for 3 more mins. It started turning very smooth without any lumps. I’m thankful for the result as I don’t have to throw it out. It’s alright, still fluffy

I made cupcakes for the first time and they came out so so good. They were light and buttery and literally melting in our mouth. I put chocochips in half of the cupcakes and they tasted so so good. I also used normal milk instead of buttermilk and the cupcakes turned out just fine. Best recipe ever!

Thank you so much Natasha. My first time making cupcakes. My cupcakes tastes wonderful. I baked them at midnight while my children were sleeping. Done at 1AM. They tasted so good that I couldn’t resist but eat non stop 5 mini cup cakes. I feel both guilty and satisfied at the same time. They had a little bit more salt than normal cupcakes but I like them like that. I just tried this recipe! The cupcakes are super soft and moist! They are better than the other cupcake recipes that I've tried on the internet. Also the frosting is amazing! :D Thanks Natasha for the amazing recipe!

I made the cupcakes last night for a test run. They are wonderful!!! My granddaughter, Addison, is coming over after school today to make a double batch. Her mom is giving a baby shower at work tomorrow. We are planning on using pink icing with little pearls on top. We always have so much fun in the kitchen baking. Making memories!

I've been following your recipes for years but it was only during this pandemic I managed to actually try a lot more of them :")) Thank you so much!! The cupcakes turned out perfect with the buttermilk substitute you suggested on your website and my dad who usually doesn't like sweets is wolfing them down while working from home 😂

Thank you for another great recipe! I just made them, and they’re soft, moist & fluffy. They’re not too sweet and just the perfect amount of vanilla. I cannot wait to try them with the frosting 🧁 ☺️ I didn’t have buttermilk, so I made my own. I used 1/2 cup of whole milk & 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, let it rest for 20 mins and then it was ready to use.

I made these yesterday! I liked that the frosting wasn't too sweet. The frosting did come out a little thin though (but It's winter here in Australia and I had my heating on, so that may be why?). Overall, they were delicious. I ate them with some hot English breakfast tea! I think this will be my go-to vanilla cupcake recipe from now on. I'd like to try it with some of Natasha's other frosting recipes too :)

My daughter's boyfriend wanted vanilla cupcakes for his birthday. Everyone LOVED yours. They asked for another batch but this time they wanted the cupcakes and frosting separate so they could scoop as much frosting as they want on them. LOL. There's only 4 left but lots of frosting. Thank you, Natasha! I make these all the time for a snack, and we eat them without frosting. But to make them more fun to eat, I fold a chopped ripe pear into the dough. The taste of pear is amazing in a cupcake.
