Make sure TF2 is correctly mounted. Can you spawn any TF2 items from the Spawn menu usually ? Esc, then click on the little gamepad icon in the bottom right corner and select Team Fortress 2. then restart Gmod

make sure tf2 is activated in gmod Go in the main menu, bottom right hand corner there is a little game controller icon, click on that and check if tf2 is activated
