Max Fosh is a KZfaqr who makes videos for a living. He shares experiences from the course of his career, and gives us some insight on how to be better storytellers and content creators. Hi, my name is Max Fosh and I am a KZfaqr. Well, that is what I am to everyone apart from my immediate family. They would probably class me as unemployed. I have 1.4million subscribers on my channel and my videos have accrued over 350million views worldwide.
I started making videos during my final year at University. It started a series called StreetSmart in which I interviewed students on nights out. It was ‘breathtakingly fresh content’ which cemented me as a ‘visionary pioneer’ of the man-on-the-street genre (these could be real quotes, I’m not sure).
The real reason I started my own series was mainly because the Uni TV channel already had enough presenters on their show, so I started my own.
Following the first episode filmed in October 2017, I relentlessly made StreetSmart episodes and I made approximately 25 episodes before leaving Uni. After graduating, I took StreetSmart on tour round 14 UK Universities.
Following this, I worked in a bar for 5 months while working on the channel. I met two KZfaqrs called Zac and Jay during this time, and in February 2018 we made a video together which went truly viral; I gained 50,000 subscribers virtually overnight. Since then, I have grown steadily and have the greatest job in the world. Being professionally silly. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I never thought I would be featured in a Max Fosh TEDx talk haha. But as a fan of Max’s for many years now, I feel honoured. To add to his point, I had 900 subscribers when I posted that video, and it’s now sitting at 6.3 million views. It’s been the main driver for my channel's growth and brought forward opportunities I would have never expected

I find it interesting that being a KZfaqr is now the world's most sought after profession! It really does go to show you how the mindset with jobs, passion, and creativity has shifted over the years from more mainstream jobs like being a lawyer or doctor to now being a KZfaqr. Over time, I hope it gets easier for beginner KZfaqrs like myself to eventually monetize their passions and creativity.

I’m retiring from KZfaq after 4 years, 3 channels and 1000s of hours of work. KZfaq doesn’t work, it is there algorithm and it change all the time I went from earning $10k a month to $1k a month and invested in everything my filming, equipment, editing etc Don’t do this if yo want to make money, do it to support something else

In the video he was talking about, it's pretty clear that everything was in good fun, perfectly safe, and the people he served it to understood they must be eating something unusual, otherwise it wouldn't be a very good video. I wouldn't say they were unsuspecting, really.

@YoureNowOnTV
@YoureNowOnTV Ай бұрын
@@Sandeep_aiimshyderabad Sure. The whole idea of the Ted talk was "How to get the world's most sought-after job" and the main answer given was "Be creative" there wasn't much more information than that. Even reading between the lines the whole "Make a viral video", "Do childish prank videos" or as he says in the description 'Being professionally silly' there wasn't much content representing the title in this talk.
