FWIW, anytime I change a gear like that, I change the pinion as well. I keep the old one as a backup, but then I'm wearing both new gears into each other vs a new gear into an old. I just converted my v1 to a v2 with a used roller. Haven't dug into it much other than to swap over my electronics and cobblefab my Tbone skids/wheelie bar to fit as well as the v1 body mounts as the roller didn't come with a body. Looking forward to 6S running without worrying about diffs. As it was, I still had to replace sliders every 6 months or so running 4S on my v1. Also the first time I'm running stock carriers/arms as I always change those out for RPM and truetrack on the rear. Never had good luck with nitro revo/erbev1 arms/carriers. Rarely would make it through a tank of gas or a single set of packs before snapping one or the other on a "rough" landing. In the 10+ years I've had a revo, I've only broken an RPM arm twice, both were very hard lawn dart type landings at high speed when below 50F outside. Guess I'll see how the 2.0 arms/carriers do for a while. I have the rpm ones from my v1 as spares now for my 2 nitro revos.

Thank you so much for this video. Im wanting to change the front skid plate and im a noob. My question is, when i take the long screw thats connected to the servo out. will it be easy to just put it back with my new skid plate. I know that may sound stupid, im just worried something will come loose in servo. Like i said, im new and learning. I may be even putting new diff gears in the front , rea, and middle. I got this car used and the center plastic rear shaft is snapped and the wear on it is real bad. so im thinking that the front will need changing as well. I hope to hear back from you.
