Pressing R to use a Boost Point in Octopath Traveler feels very good. With each press, it amplifies the intensity of the ability, but also chimes with audio/visuals and voice-overs. The cherry on top comes when you triple-boost an ability or attack, then the character says a unique voice-line, usually with great intensity. For a turn-based JRPG, it feels very good (even more so in Octopath II, where they do cool things with the camera angles to make fully booster skills very extra epic).

But, Josh, if all the fans of rogue like genre like this or dont mind this, then whats the problem, why do I care about others?
