The cop clearly stated numerous times towards the end. The kid was getting a citation instead of actually being arrested and processed for obstruction and attempted assault on a Leo. This cop lost control of these two right away, and seeing him so out of breath for so long, makes me question his physicality for the job. I would have had this squelched down from the word go if I was that cop

Someone should pay me LOL. It took me a while to figure out where in Ohio this was. This is Jessica Clark she was charged with obstructing, interference, and harassment with bodily substance (which was filed later). Ultimately she pled guilty to obstructing a 5th-degree felony in May. Her sentencing was on June 11th, she was sentenced to 2 years of probation. Where she is ordered to receive anger management and get a mental health assessment. She has to meet with her probation officer twice a week, for drug tests, and all that fun stuff. If she is unsuccessful with probation she will be sentenced to 6-12 mos in Ohio's women's state correctional facility. Who thinks she's going to make it on probation?

What did the "whole family" do? The kid was being ordered by two authority figures of his to do conflicting things, he was understandably concerned for his mother and confused on what was happening and what he should do. The 3rd car was told to move and they did so ....... 🤷 The mother is the only one who needs to check her actions. Though the mother was completely out of line. The son actually handled himself surprisingly well, especially for being so young and clearly inexperienced with the real world situation he found himself in, even if mostly due to his mother’s actions. That being said the police officer could have handled it better but ultimately wasn’t wrong in executing his authority over the traffic stop, he just could have handled it a little more calmly and commanded, through clear consistent directives, cooperative compliance with a more level headed and even keeled approach. The son being young and being screamed at by his mother to “HELP” wanted to do all in his power to protect his mother, though he clearly understood, even in the moment, that she was wrong. But make no mistake the son restrained himself physically from attacking the arresting officer who he believed was using excessive force against his mother. Despite all of this the young man collected his composure, compiled his demeanor, instructed his mother to comply with the officer, and ultimately conducted himself in a manner I would be proud to say a MAN should conduct himself put in the exact same conditions and given the same inexperience with such a situation. I would also like to commend the commander who came on the scene and assessed the situation and determined that the boy should be minimally cited and released and the mother should be the only one going to jail.
