It’s important to note that the direction of the holes makes a difference in the stitch.. for example if you started stitching the exact same way, BUT the stitching holes were opposite, it makes a huge difference and I had to learn this the hard way (French style) if they’re just holes then that’s different but for French irons, it’ll be imperative to show the difference. / / / / / OR \ \ \ \ \

The only tutorial I have come across that includes the handling of an awl. Which is nice. :)

That’s a great, detailed demonstration. The only thing that would make it better would be if you showed how backstitches are done. In other words, is the order the needles are put through the same, which one is towards the front or back of the hole, do you cast the same way, and do you angle the threads the same way when pulling the stitch taut (and any other aspects that may be different when backstitching).

Great video, fantastic clear instructions and my stitching has gone from Shonky to neat very quickly! Sorry to ask as I'm sure you get asked this lots; What glue do you use to join leather?
