I inherited 2 rings, one gold ring with a 3/4 karat sized diamond and 5 quarter karat diamonds. It was very ornate and not at all my style. The other was an amethyst set in gold, but it was also not my style, and I never wear purple. I kept them for years, feeling guilty for not liking them, knowing they were worth a lot of money. I finally took them to a jeweler this year and had him melt down the gold to make a new ring with just the one big diamond, and 2 pairs of earrings with 4 of the little ones. I felt some initial guilt, but I love the new jewelry and wear it every day. I feel like Grandma would be happier knowing I love what she gave me, than knowing I hated it and wasted it!

I find myself saying that all the time. Like, WHY don't they teach some of this stuff to kids...then I think of my own kids and realize- THAT'S why. We wouldn't have listened 😂

Really appreciate this video. 🤗❤️We are moving soon so we really need help decluttering. But. 😬🤭We have relatives that call after like 3 years and want emotional stuff that they ”gave” us, back! it stresses me out😩

What about boxes and boxes of photos?

A great choice is digitizing them! You can also get digital frames like this one to rotate through all of your special moments! This way they last forever and aren't prone to damage from water or the sunlight.
