This is how I attach doors to their frame if I don't have anyone to assist.

I just tried this idea and it works even better: Take a stack of old magazines and divide it into two stacks. Then, before taking the door off slide the two stacks of magazines under the door so that the magazines can just slide under the door. After taking the door off set the two stacks aside until you put the door back on. Since the two stacks are at the exact height it is easy-peasy! Of course you will need to add/subtract the correct amount of magazines to fit since every door is at a different height. Good luck!

Just screw the hinges on the door and the jam and just have to pop the pins in the door

Something I need help with is finding that the door hinge holes, seem to be opposite (you know, how they're not in a straight line but a shallow "v") The hinge is fine left on the door, but not on the frame. I've looked at all components *handle location, top orientation, movement inwards. Doesn't make sense! Any ideas? Would it be ok or bad to drill new frame holes so close to the current ones? Thankyou in advance

What if you’re not tall enough to balance on your foot and reach the top hinge? My door only has 2 hinges so doing the one in The middle is not an option.

I think the best option is to put something under the door to get it to the right height (previous commenter suggested magazines), and then you could get up on a chair to attach the top hinge.

OMG! I'll be damned I NEVER WOULD HAVE BELIEVED JUST HOW HARD THIS CAN BE ALONE. I have done roofs, water and sewage lines, tuneups and engine repairs on vehicles... You name it I will research it and have done it. But I'll be now on third set of hinges and a month later, I still having hard time getting this G*** THING to line up good enough to close. ERRRRR! There must be some trick of the trade in measuring where to put the hinges exactly so door and door way frame match?
