To anyone in the comments with a newfound insecurity in their skin, don’t worry! As a long time skincare enthusiast, I’m here to tell you that you are a human and the expectation of perfectly smooth skin is completely unrealistic. Many factors that determine skin texture and evenness in tone are genetic (out of your control). Also remember that you are a human being made of flesh and bones and everything else, and it’s normal to have blemishes and bumps. Remember, skin looks different 3 feet away compared to 3 inches away. While taking care of your skin is important for health and minimizing aging effects in the long term, it is not a gateway to perfect skin, as that is an illusion and a pipe dream!

@@frodomindset Everyone’s skin is so unique and individual that what works for your face very well may not work for someone else. Because of that, I can’t specifically guarantee you any specific product, however, seeing as you have dry skin and are mildly acne-prone, I’d recommend starting with a gentle and hydrating cleanser (avoid foaming cleansers as they tend to be abrasive). Then get a good moisturizer, ideally on the thicker side. Lastly, don’t forget to use sunscreen! It prevents wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Realistically you only need those three products for a solid routine. Some good brands that a lot of people have success with include Cerave, Cetaphil, CosRX, La Roche Posay, and more. It’s a long journey so be ready for a long battle of trial and error with your products.

Cut out sugar, if you can. Cut down on alcohol. Drink plenty of water, which rehydrates and also flushes out toxins. Rest and sleep are crucial. Then there is mind work. As someone reminds us in social media, "you glow differently when your confidence is fueled by belief in yourself than by validation from others". Now that is sexy glass skin.

From what I’ve heard from skincare enthusiasts: -Double Cleansing is done at night. The oil cleanser is typically used to remove makeup, sunscreen, and dirt accumulated throughout the day. -Using exfoliating acids should be limited to 2x or 3x a week at most. Over exfoliating the skin can damage your skin’s barrier and you’ll feel a burning sensation. Consider lessening usage to 1x a week or even less for those with sensitive skin. -For persistent skin conditions, seek a dermatologist’s help. You may need medication that you can buy only when prescribed.

Only thing I have to disagree with is the dermatologist. They are absolutely paid off by big pharma. Spent 10 years of my life from middle school into college visiting a dermatologist and all I ever got was worse and worse, tried every prescription drug except Acutane due to the side effects. I swear to god the only thing that eventually worked was I STOPPED washing my face 100%, nothing ever and let it naturally fix itself, which it did. Now I just have the scars left over from my old acne and black heads on my nose which are no big deal.

I double cleanse at night to get rid of the sunscreen and all the gunk that has accumulated on my face throughout the day from the environment- at night I use my "actives" bha, aha, or retinols to treat my skin overnight, when there is not exposure to UV rays- and definitely use moisturizing cream both day and night. The sunscreen during the day is super imperative! This video is definitely a step in the right direction and it seems to be working for this guy. I would do more research though!

Growing up, I had horrible acne. I had no self-confidence because I also have a larger nose than others. So those 2 combined on my face made me feel like that's all anyone can see about me. My current wife, bless her, didn't see that. I never felt I deserved her because I thought she could find someone 10x more attractive than me. She helped me through that phase of my life. She got me on a routine, nothing fancy just washing my face with dove sensitive skin soap and using shea butter lotion or skin repair one with no scent. 4 years later, my skin is pretty much acne free. I have acne scars, so my skin doesn't look clear, but it definitely looks 100 times better than before. If I can do it, anyone can. I wish I could share a picture of me in HS so people can see what I used to look like and what I look like now

@jorgeyhemi5.7
@jorgeyhemi5.7 7 ай бұрын
@ravielroberts5608 I'm sorry to hear that. It definitely sucks and ruins your self-esteem, especially after HS. I highly recommend you use Dove soap for sensitive skin. It's a teal color logo that I use. I also use Vaseline Lotion with Dhea Butter. It's going to take a while, but I promise you'll see results within a couple of weeks. Do this in the morning and night. When you shower, do it as well. Don't let your face get dried out. Very important, otherwise your body creates oils to moisturize the skin, and it'll only trap dirt and other stuff that makes your skin worse. I also would use this black bar of soap that was supposed to be African Charcoal or something like that, kinda smells like bananas. I recommend that one as well.

There’s an easy solution to this. Take night showers and use hot water to open the pores. Clean the excess from the pores with soap and cool it off with cold water at the end of the shower to close off the pores. Also, changing bed sheets and not sleeping in dirty sheets tends to help with preventing acne. One thing he didn’t mention either is greasy foods. Greasy foods can lead to the body expelling the grease through sweat if overeaten.

I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

I have sensitive skin that is prone to dryness. If i wash my face even once a day, ,let alone twice a day, which i used to do, i will have inflamed and red skin and even get rashes from drying my skin out, as this is what water does for some people. now i just stick to washing my face only when i shower like after the gym. the biggest thing that helped me go from overly sensitive skin prone to flaking and irritated red patches on my checks and sometimes forehead, was using moisturizer, especially after the shower. i used to take hot showers and only sometimes moisturize after. i would say reducing the heat and duration of your shower, drinking more water, cutting sugar like sodas especially/caffeine in general which dehydrates the skin, and making sure to use a non pore clogging moisturizer helped the most. it helps to try a bunch of mousturizers and see which ones work the best with your skin, such as a cream vs a lotion or ointment. does your skin react well to an active ingredient of say cocoa butter or responds better to oatmeal based moisturizers? same with cleansers. in all of this you should be striving to use as natural and well rounded products, avoiding too much metals, phtalates, chemicals in your products. but definitely skin care is unique for each person and I can say washing your face twice a day or even every morning for me would devastate my skin. also i doubt most people have this much time like using masks etc, just try your best,its very hard to have crsystal clear skin since most of us drink coffee, have some stress, workout so we sweat, sit in car traffic and smoke during our commutes...etc. it is good to have some sort of basic routine or products tho, if you dont need any products and just have clear skin good for you as i know people like that too that literally can wash their face a million times, use no products after hot showers, touch their face all day, and never break out. i know thats not me when i had that sensitive skin touching my face would instantly create rashes, it was super shitty. till i lowered my shower temperatures, times, decreased washing my face outside showers, and started using moisturizers after water exposure, and typically at least once a day to twice a day. mind you im a natural person and try to avoid using products as much as possible, even if moistutizering 3x a day is good, the less stuff i can put on my face and absorbing into my skin and blood the better. another reason that even tho having a 10 step skin routine may make your skin look clear, is it really good for our internal organs, brain, etc, all those products your applying to your actual body go inside? so for me theres a balance as everything we do put on our skin absorbs right into it and our bodies, so for me there will be this balance even tho more is probably better i dont want to stick too much on my skin. also as others have mentioned, the sun is extremely important for your hormones, mental health, vitamin d, sexual health, etc. dont skip the sun entirely thats crazy. us humans have been in the sun for tens of thousands of years for long periods of time lol. people avoiding the sun at any risk today are crazy lol. those are the same people who claim anxiety or depression because they arent getting out enough into nature the sun the beach etc and are stuck in their rooms and offices all day staring at screens. even though exposure to sun will dry your skin out, it is completely worth that con it just means you have to apply moisturizer or aloe vera, but ultimately dont sacrifice going outside or being in the sun for 20 minutes a day just to have perfect milky white skin lol. youll have other more serious health issues down the line if you dont get in the sun and fresh air often.

For those struggling with acne scars. Just let it be, dont touch your face for any reason and you´ll see the improvement on your skin look. Also, I´ve also found out that changing your sheets and pillowcases speed up the process a lot. Im 25 and I´ve been struggling with this since I was 12. Recently I found out this (almost 8 months ago) and I wish somebody has told me this before.

Silk pillowcase too, it absorbs less moisture and product from your face whilst you sleep, keeping you a little more hydrated and not wasting product. Apparently silk is the closest to our skin's cellular construction. Feels soft and cosy too ❤

Be Mindful especially of your skintypes before trying this, I have odd skin which sits between a dry/oily with pores, I've tested through trial and error a lot of these skincare routines, some of these may be too much for your skin and you may have to narrow it down to what works best for you.

Good tips but I think double cleanse is at night sir, there’s studies showing that not washing your face in morning at all is better at repairing the skin barrier because of the production of natural sebum. Double cleanse should be done at night because of the build up of impurities, sweat, oil, dirt, pollutants from outside environment, and also spf and spf reapplication from the long day. If you don’t double cleanse at night your pours will be clogged, especially from the spf.

Don’t need to quit your tea or coffee habits. Just swap to plant based milk. Maybe add unflavored collagen protein powder to give it the 10g protein boost and it’ll be similar consistency and nutritional value as whole milk. Also substitute sugar for stevia/monk fruit + agave nectar

Here are some moves to assist you with accomplishing glass skin: Steady Skincare Schedule: Purging: Begin with a delicate, hydrating chemical to eliminate soil and contaminations without stripping your skin's regular oils. Peeling: Utilize a substance exfoliator (like AHA or BHA) to eliminate dead skin cells and further develop the skin surface. Limit this to 2-3 times each week. Conditioning: Apply a hydrating and pH-adjusting toner to set up your skin for the following stages. Quintessence: Integrate a hydrating and sustaining pith to further develop skin's dampness maintenance. Serum: Use serums with dynamic fixings like hyaluronic corrosive, niacinamide, or L-ascorbic acid to target explicit skin concerns. Saturate: Apply a lightweight, non-comedogenic cream to secure hydration. Sunscreen: Wear sunscreen every day to shield your skin from UV harm, which can cause untimely maturing and pigmentation issues. Hydration: Remain all around hydrated by drinking sufficient water over the day. Hydration from the inside is fundamental for skin wellbeing. Diet: A decent eating routine rich in organic products, vegetables, lean proteins, and solid fats can further develop skin wellbeing. Cell reinforcement-rich food varieties can assist with battling free extremists that harm the skin. Rest: Hold back nothing for long periods of valuable rest every night to permit your skin to fix and recover. Abstain from Smoking and Unnecessary Liquor: Smoking and unreasonable liquor utilization can add to skin harm, so limiting or wiping out these propensities is ideal. Stress The board: High feelings of anxiety can prompt skin issues. Practice pressure-decrease procedures like reflection, yoga, or profound breathing activities. Stay away from Unforgiving Items: Keep away from items that contain brutal synthetic compounds or aromas that could aggravate your skin. Stick to things reasonable for your skin type. Customary Facials: Consider seeking standard facials or expert medicines like microdermabrasion or substance strips to keep up with skin clarity. Safeguard Your Skin: Utilize actual boundaries like caps and shades to protect your skin from cruel daylight, and keep away from delayed sun openness. Persistence and Consistency: Accomplishing glass skin takes time. Be patient and reliable with your skincare schedule, and don't anticipate for the time being results. Counsel a Dermatologist: On the off chance that you have explicit skin concerns or issues, counsel a dermatologist. They can give customized exhortations and suggest medicines that might end up being useful to you accomplish your skincare objectives.

I have glass skin but I never use any cosmetics, not even face wash . Instead of that I used gram flour with curd and honey mixture apply once every single day and secondly use sia seed face masks 3 times in a week. Sometimes I used sticky rice water on my face. And everyday do some facial exercises which gives me glass skin.

The problem with these skincare routines, everyone's skin is different. I've done the oil cleanse and got cystic / clogged pores. Exfoliation also caused my skin to breakout due to irritation. Although it did momentarily make my pores smaller and clearer. I pretty much stick to the basics now. A gentle cleanser in the evening while I shower then a gentle moisturizer afterwards. For spot treatment, I use benzoyl clindamycin, which seems to keep inflamed bumps from forming into pimples. Skin seems to be holding up fine then before.
