Down here in the south, we only say "heal" when we got something the doctor needs to take a look at. In any conversation, gardening for instance, if something needs to be corrected we say we're gonna fix it. And that's the lesson for the day 😉

Looks great! I’ll start hilling. I’m just too broke and don’t have all that land. I’m looking for a good three sisters set up to use the land more sparingly. For Weed control I could use cardboard and raked up pine needles. That works good for a year on our fruit trees and bushes.

I am on my 2nd year of gardening. Got 2 gardens that equal about 2300 sqr ft. One is heavy clay and the other is more of a Sandy loam. Anywho the sandy one is unbearably full of weed seeds haha. I have cut down a little by using black tarps over fall-winter but it is only slightly better compared the the heavy clay that killed almost all of the weed seed bank. I had to basically re till the larger open areas to knockout the grass. Then tilled a little between the rows to kill all of the weeds. Finally I hilled my corn thereby smothering the weeds and grass and decided to hill my beans as well to try and make sure none of this mess goes to seed because it's a pain enough as it is now.

My first time growing corn and have not even started yet. Waiting on last spring frost date but do have the bed ready.

Chicago Area. My 1st small corn batch is started in the trays indoors and is just starting to pop above the soil line. Started 36 cells, so well see how it goes. Still a little too cold to start directly outside. I will start a 2nd group around May 15th (also in cells). I will be interplanting with green beans and acorn squash between rows.

I'm in SW Florida, zone 10a, and have silks and corn/tassels on some of my plants already. :)

Just finished planting 350ft of "incredible" sweet corn 10 min ago, great timing! I'll be "healing" mine here before long. Another great video. People should not be scared about the amount of fertilizer they put on corn. It's way different than other plants. Corn takes about 120# N per/acre per season, at a 20% N fert that is 600# of total material.

SoCal 10a here. My corn is almost knee high. Didn’t know I need to “heal” it up! I’m trying 3 different kinds and some are light green. I’m gonna go heal them with some nitrogen!! Thanks Travis!!

Even though I am from SC and we speak different dialects I can hear and understand.
