10 years ago, before I got my bearded dragon, I had done a ton of research to make sure I was giving her what she needed but I still learn new things every day from you. I had NEVER heard of brumation before watching your channel. My beardie is becoming so much more healthier with your advice. Thank you so much!

This is solid advice. I just said goodbye to my 22yo bearded dragon and this was one of the easiest ways to tell if she was in need of some extra care. You can tell a lot about the health of your friend by their behavior and where they’re putting on or losing weight! It’s worth noting that as a beardie ages they may have more and more trouble absorbing nutrients or staying hydrated. Towards the end of her life, I was syringe feeding and watering my beardie about 3mls of food and 2mls of water a day and she really only maintained her weight. She refused to cooperate with me for more than that, and after a while she just was losing weight at an unsustainable rate. Sometimes it’s just how it goes for elder dragons, and it’s important to work with a good exotic vet when things come up. Excellent video tho, Archie is a cutie!

This is most recent beqrded dragon video ive found so far and ive been researching consistently for the past 2 weeks. I dont have a job so im consistently tending to my good boy and trying to make him happier. I adopted him out of a bad neighborhood and hes slowly getting used to this luxurious life style. So the malnourishment is REAL. Im trying very hard.. so this was HUGE IMFORMATION!!!

8 year old Nephews beardie is his best friend. They do everything together. When my nephew lost his flock of chickens to animal attacks, he was devastated. Grabes his best friend, bearded dragon. It hugged him! I sware there is no relationship like there's.

Yes, yes and thank you. I was just ansewring on my IG that I rushed to the vet vc my girl stopped begging for (my) food. She is 4th day post surgery. Up until this nothing was "loud" enough in our multiple previous visits.

I always learn friends m your videos! Thank you for this one. I am left with a question in my mind on this one however. In the beginning of this video you do mention that brumation can have an effect on the bearded dragons’ normal routines. We have 2 young ones (8 mos and 5mos). I’m really nervous about when they do brumate. If they have been brumating for a while wouldn’t it be normal for their routine stats to all be down? Is there a typical amount of time that we wait for them to get back to pre-brumation stats? Sherri from Dallas

My bearded dragon is walking funny. She never walked much but would kinda chase food. More so reach for the food often missing. She has a regular routine but doesn't walk well. We put her on the living room floor (fake wood) she was slow and didn't seem to push herself up enough. Like her limbs are weak. We never had one and we love her. She eats daily but passes stool about 2x a month. I'm nervous she's got a deficiency but we calcified the bugs. She also will not touch greens

Hello , I need a little advice on my bearded dragon. He has a lump on his bottom lip that I thought was sheading, but now idnt think it's sheading. The top of the lump is hard, and under side is solfted and has a small spot that's black in colored .he does not have any inside mouth discoloring, but he seems to be hiding a lot under his hamic, which he's never done before. Um, a paranoid mother. I was not sure if this is something that would clear on its own or if I needed to go to the vet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I put the lights on it takes Blue 💙 a hour to wake up then he starts climbing around. And up his walls was starts basting then see his food goes nuts lolol

My beardie hasn’t been wanting to eat on his own lately. I’ve noticed him getting pretty skinny and inactive. When i put bugs in front of him he doesn’t try to go for them. I hate doing it but i basically have to force him to eat or he wont eat at all. Ive been slowly giving him water like you said but in this case food is the problem. He doesn’t poop often either witch worries me. Is there anything you recommend?

It's weird. My bearded dragon that I got 3 weeks ago loves basking a lot but never gose to the cool side or at least from what I have seen. But he goes under the basking branchs and lays in the Substrate but with a temp gun is around 75-89 under there

Could you address a little about Hematoma in Beardies ? Is it always fatal? Hard topic , I know. Family member has a 7yr old male with one under the chin an is searching for a reptile vet . Hello always watch your videos. I’m looking for sone insight in what happened to my leatherback. I have 3 bearded dragons all setup the same way. Fed then around 11am and went to take them out like 2 hours later. The one threw up worms there was a puddle of blood next to it and he was under his cave in more blood. Pulled him out and he was just about lifeless. Took him to vet and they took him straight in. Heart was just about to stop and lost a lot of blood. They believe anyeurism. He was extremely healthy and just getting over a little shedding. Any info on this would be much appreciated. It’s killing me. Thank you

Hi, I need help. I’ve asked other people and I’ve asked the vets and no one can seem to give me any idea of what’s wrong with my bearded dragon. He’s a rescue, sort of, the people that had him before me never had UVB light on him so I knew he was going to get sick, so I took him and done everything that needs to be done. He had a really good Year maybe and then he bromated for a long time and when he woke up, he just wasn’t the same. To make a long story short he’s perfect weight he’s not dehydrated. He looks good. He eats well feces and your rates look great. He just doesn’t do anything. You can tell his bones are misshapen, he does move some, but not a lot. I didn’t think too much of this until I seen videos of bearded dragons with metabolic bone disease in their body. Parts were just all bent up and missed sharpened, and they were moving around amazingly. So I don’t understand why my bearded dragon isn’t active. He’ll go a week and he’ll be more active than usual but that’s just opening his eyes more, it’s not running around his cage or anything like that. People have told me to put him down and I just don’t feel he’s ready yet because everything else is perfect, Like the weight, his diet, his digestion everything is great, he’s just not active at all and I don’t know what I can do to make the ends of his days better because I know he’s he’s not sick as far as ready to die he’s just not he just looks too good and I just need some help so bad because I love him so much and I want to do everything possible to help him thrive and not just survive. So please someone help.
