In my basement “ the dog house”. I Used an old but nice couch , i removed & trashed the “pull out” bed portion of mattress/springs, freed up hiding space for 56 bottles of 750 mll, 4 -1.75L (red-neck stow & go) Then Cut 3 sections 0f 24”x 36” 1/2” ply-wood that over laps the frame & put the 3 cushions back on 😉, easily accesable, organized by cushion, scotch on the left, barrel picks in the center, dailey drinkers on the right. Slick as crisco on the bird feeder pole for my squirrels. Wifes only commented 1-2x that the couch is not as comfortable as it used to be , “are the springs going bad 🤔”There just fine honey 💕 “ 27 years & still going strong 😆

Love this video, please keep up the public service announcements! My tactic is to always tell my wife what the crazy secondary price is for a bottle and she thinks I’m a genius for getting it at retail. Her vision is that someday I’ll sell it for a big gain - of course I never sell anything, I drink them! So the trick is not hiding the full bottles, but hoping she doesn’t realize that I’m drinking away the ‘retirement fund’! 😎

My wife usually doesn't mind me buying unless it's a more than usual priced bottle, I don't get any funny looks if it's under $80 ish. Luckily my "office" is right inside the basement and I have a door in the driveway. I keep most of my bottles down there unless I regularly drink them and that's when they appear in the kitchen.

I have a liquor cabinet and converted barrel and it's easier to discreetly add more bottles, so it's only a "problem" when I need to buy new furniture to hold the collection, lol.

I can't remember if it was in part 1, but all tubs and showers have an access panel to get to the plumbing. Depending on your tub configuration you can hide tons of bottles in there. And really, does anyone ever open that to check the pipes?!

Great video Matt. I hide my cherished bottles in my closet behind my hanging clothes. Particularly, a suit I don’t fit in anymore. My drinking bottles are in the kitchen. The bottles that come in tubes or boxes, sit in full view on a shelf also in the kitchen.

Brilliant!! Oh, but also no5 a secret anymore. I have a crawlspace (>12 full boxes of whisk(e)y), with access in a central hallway closet. I can access it almost anytime I want b/c I also have one box, most visible from the opening, with her champagne and wine. I chose that space about 8 years ago, when the bottle count was starting to get unsightly, and b/c its coolest down there. And i try to be honest, but only when the truth gets exposed.❤️
