I was curious as to know what your thoughts are on flywheel technology and how it benefits football players/athletes in general? If you could find any research on this subject that I could read instead then I’d appreciate that too

Do you have different positions programmed for rugby on the app? I don't need to run 7 miles like a scrumhalf but I do need to lift people and win ball in rucks.

How would you split positions ?

@PeakStrengthApp Although rugby is a game where any player can do anything at any time, the adage is that forwards win the game and backs decide by how much. I'd split tight 5, loose forwards, scrum/fly, centers, wing/fullback. The physical requirements of the tight 5 in the scrum is really unlike anything else in the game, it's demoralizing to the team if they can't win ball and if they're winning all the time it allows the team to push the boundaries on passing the ball. A great prop should be able to push press enough to lift someone 230+ pounds for lineouts and kickoffs and needs the kind of trunk control to support the scrum, if they can't get that done it really doesn't matter what they can do with ball I'm hand. Likewise, whatever it helps to enable someone to have kick variability at near full speed would be invaluable to a back. The backs and loose forwards are all going to benefit more from developing lateral movement for their positions than the tight 5. I havent quite wrapped my mind around the cardiovascular output differences: anecdotally, my resting HR in college ranged from high forties to low fifties but couldn't keep up with the backs during interval runs for more than 10 minutes before vomiting. I've loved your rugby videos and have incorporated a lot to my programming. The BJJ "mind games" was spot on, lots of mind games in the scrum, although not as much variability. Just thinking about this makes me regret not having a doctorate in exercise physiology for lab work. I'm sure someone with a keener eye in body movement can start with splitting the team up this way and tailor something to keep players mind on their field task during the off-season.

Cleans popped up out of nowhere one day in the mid 90’s and have been burdening football programs everywhere ever since. Way too much time to teach a hard to execute exercise that doesn’t develop power, but only displays power at an injury rate greater than any exercise I can think of. Just dumb.
