Posting from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Thanks to you and the vids posted of you by Robin my swing has improved immensely. Built my own foot board and I'm on it every day. I also swing a broom stick to add the auditory feedback of a swoosh. It's engrained in my brain. Bang-Bang-Swoosh! Bang-Bang-Swoosh! Bang-Bang-Swoosh! Thank you so much.

Your videos are awesome thank you I’ve learned more about my golf swing in the last week watching your channel so thankful you take the time to make theses videos I’m still a work in progress but anything that comes up I can find the answers on your channel I can see the shot and tell what I’m doing wrong I thought I was shanking everything but turned out to be I wasn’t getting lag and was hitting with my club upright which gave me an open club face more tilt straighter shots just found these two part 1 and part 2 and my 4 5 and. 6 fades makes more sense and I can see what I need to change Again thank you and you definitely make a personal golf swing easier

I never take the time to comment, but I've been watching your videos for quite some times now (I appreciate the recent effort with the sound, much better :-) ). I'm not a good golfer but in one of your previous videos you mentioned how in football you never try and hit a ball straight and that made perfect sense for me ! I'm actually pretty good at curving the ball at football so why am I trying to hit straight golf shot ???? I's been 2 weeks now that I only hit curved balls at practice, and I don't try to aim at a point but a zone.... what a difference ! When practicing, my only goal is to make sure I curve the ball the way I want, so if I'm trying for a draw, I must hit a draw... doesn't matter how bug the curve, I'm thinking it's way less dangerous to hook it than to hit a fade there. I tried to take the practice to the course and to be honest, even if my score wasn't that great, I've never felt that much in control. Now I'm visualizing the danger, aim towards it (close to it but not at it) and curve it away from it.... I'm basically doubling the size of the farway compared to before (before I aimed in the middle and was expecting a little miss to the right or to the left). Thank you so much for your tips, I'm now having fun ALL the time on the golf course, even when I play bad, because when I aim I look up and imagine the path and the target.... I stopped focusing on the ball trying to think of how to start the swing, how to not reach to far, how to not start to early with my arms, etc... etc... the focus now is the beautiful course in front of me, not the little white ball on the ground beneath me ! Living in Alsace (France), but promised myself to book a lesson to your place on day and come and visit ! Also, and I'm serious, I have a bed and breakfast, so if you want to spend some vacation in our beautiful region with Robin, you'll stay for free in exchange for one lesson and an 18 hole, we have some amazing places here for Golf ! Thanks again for your insight and for "simplifying" golf for us addicts.... Nicolas

I keep coming back to this it has really helped me to shape shots with my 4 and 5 irons. No more thin slices or over the top duck hooks. A gentle draw and more to my surprise a baby fade, a shot I've never been able to control, are becoming part of my game. It's still a work in progress with my mid to lower irons though.

Stumbled onto your channel a week or two ago. Went to the range this morning and added 15-20m to my irons. Ridiculous. Fade and draw. That drill of feeling the swing plane and how the weight transfers (minus the board), has completely opened up my golf swing. Great videos, easy to understand, and are actually useful!! Thank you for posting these.

Driving range just now results after watching this last night, i cut a hoola hoop in half ( got some funny looks carrying it into the range 😂 ) took 5 and 7 irons and driver, got two bucket's, total of 120 ball's, used this video as a recap, took my time before each swing to get the feel, started standing open with clubface aimed at target, bingo, fades on command, with decent distance with both irons and driver which really surprised me with the distance i achieved. I then switched to closed set up for draw, not quite as easy or consistent as fade, did shank a couple of 5 irons, driver a bit erratic, some beautiful draws, a few blocks and a couple of snap hooks, however the one's i flushed went way further than anything I've hit before, definitely need more practice with draw swing, but absolutely no doubt about it, either setup is much easier to hit than trying to hit the ball straight.

Wow... I have to unlearn what I think I have learn't! I will be trying this today on the range because I would love to consistently be able to shape the ball flight to make the hole easier to play. The face and angles I knew but I would have been moving my feet, open / close to shape the ball. Know wonder I have been failing and beleiving that this is a PRO skill. Thanks.

Another crucial lesson that somehow I had overlooked/not paid attention to/understood after all the other videos. The fact that I somehow hit a slice when trying to hit draws I knew was something simple I had overlooked but hadn't quite figured it out. OF COURSE, it's the concept of the wheel around the ball. Looking forward to employing this adjustment and having more control of the intended shots.

Lol! I am the poster child for this robotic like search for the perfect swing of zero degrees of tilt. Tried every swing system imaginable. The closest I came to just hitting it straight all the time was a long time ago using a very weak grip combined with a vertical swing and a lot of physical strength and athleticism. Anyway could write a book on all the changes and swings I have copied. Even P1,P2,P3. Moe Norman.Mike Austin. David Lee. Rotary swing. Sergio lag swing. Manuel del Torre. Ignition golf. Etc... Totally uncreative! Reset and declutter. Have fun and explore. Use both sides of the brain. Thanks again Marcus! Great video!

this explains why i could not hit a deliberate fade - I worked for so long to get rid of the slice - I mastered a draw shape - with the only fade a push slice and when I attempted a fade I get a pull hook. This is so useful - thanks. Wish I could get an individual lesson but NZ is too far and trips to uk of the menu atm.

Really enjoy all of your content and follow each of your videos very closely. I'm a big fan of the way you approach the golf swing. Having said that, is there a ordered progression you would suggest for developing the ability to CONTROL shot shape for beginner/intermediate golfers? Many of your most helpful insights have to do with developing a feeling for controlling ball flight, but some beginners might be overwhelmed by trying to control draws and cuts and high and low flights. The ones that aren't overwhelmed might attempt to do too many different shots prior to developing a real comfort and ability to swing their swing and consistently hit a nice draw. Do you have a suggestion for taking a beginner and progressing them through the development of the ability to control their trajectory? I don't mean to muck up the whole feel-development aspect of what you are saying, but I also think that very few beginner/intermediate golfers start hitting a nice baby draw into a tucked because they actually decided to. So what would you say? First, teach them to accept that there is no such thing as a straight shot and that Unicorns don't exist? Second, get them comfortable hitting draws of consistently at targets of specific distances? Third, have them do they same thing with fades? Fourth, unleash them to start trying to curve the ball in every manner possible as long as they are meaning to do it? Thanks as always. You have some of them best golf content on the internet.

Tried this tonight, and I hit 3 draws on command and a big draw from wrong side of fairway around tree line to middle of fairway 210 yds with my hybrid , hit fades on to par 3, then got cocky and it all fell to bits and I started to focus on hitting the ball instead of intent. Cheers for this zen master p.s I've never been able to hit draws or hooks ever.

Unless I missed something, isn't this lesson a reiteration of how all of the fine shotmakers throughout the ages have played their shots - meaning that they setup to "WORK" the ball to the target, as opposed to we rank amateurs that point and shoot, i.e., setup parallel to the target line and swing, hoping on hope that we catch the golf ball in that 1 degree (out of the 360 degree circle) that will produce a dead straight shot at the target ? Did I get that right ?
