I may be a year late but we were taught in the FDF to use low ready ALWAYS when contact was imminent. High ready would only be used when in combat in a built-up area (CQB in-doors).

This was such a helpful overview. Simple enough to understand and be able to practice o your own. Also Myles comes across as an authentic guy, less ego than a lot of guys on KZfaq. Thanks for the videos!

Thank you for good information. In CQB watch the high ready, door frames, I'm 6'5 tall an let me tell you. The breaks happened, barrel or hand gard caught the frame of the door.An important lesson.
