You can definitely do that, gives it a better shine. I did that that sunk it in my fish tank

If you want it not to chip then put clear coat

Takes about 15 minutes to dry, but I'll leave out for 30 minutes before I'll spray on a clear coat. The ones I've done still look amazing like the day I've dipped em

When ever I try dipping something water bubbles form under the paint as soon as I take it out of the water

Spraying to close to water then, want to stay far enough away so youre not pushing paint under the water when spraying

Smooth but if you want a protective coat with a shine get a can of clear coat and do 1 or 2 coats

If that's the best paint you've used, I can tell you you unfortunately don't know good spray paints. Try MTN 94 or MTN Hardcore2 (glossy). MTN Colors makes the best paints hands down, I have nearly 25 years of experience in spray paints.
