Who wouldn't want 27 miles per gallon in a half ton. Own a Ford F-150 Powerboost V6 Hybrid. I'll show you how to optimize and hypermile your Powerboost half ton. With a few tricks and driving habit changes, you can far exceed the 23 MPG figure on the window sticker.
The 2023 Ford F-150 and 2024 Ford F-150 Powerboost is set to be the highest selling engine in the F-150 line up this year and Ford has paused production on the Ford F-150 Lightning because sales have dropped and deman for the hybrid over full electric has jumped.

Love my PB. Had it 2 months now. Best I’ve seen is 27mpg. BUT, it’s so much fun to drive and its power it’s hard to keep your foot outa it!! This is my 5th f150 in a row. I lease them! But my most favorite to date!!! Appreciate your content!! Thank you!!

maybe configure gauge to show boost. Then delete top gears with minus button on hills to reduce turbo boost by raising rpm's then use plus button on flat land to turn 8,9,10 gears back on

In one run I made in my PB in metro Denver. N-Bound Sante Fe to I-25 then 6th West, I got 34 mpg on that run and it was during good weather that day.

Have you seen pro onboard power impact MPG? I typically find mine on and in low power mode. Wondering if you have seen turning OBP off or fully on impacts MPG? Seems like it would but I haven’t actually tracked it accurately. Thoughts?

I hadn't noticed Any impact in the stints I used it. But in theory the batteries are charged my motion (braking) and engine charging so it would lower slightly if the engine runs to create the charging in the generator mode.

I have my f150 about a month. Live the way it drives. I drove back from Cincinnati to Pittssburgh @80mph. Got about 20mpg. Hard to keep my foot out of it. Do you use 87 or 93 octan?

I do use 91 here in Colorado, our premium grade, or ethanol free which is 89. But usually premium.

I noticed that Eco Mode rides a little rougher than Normal Mode. Is this my imagination, or does the Eco Mode have a stiffer suspension setup to improve milage (ever so slightly)?

No change in suspension at all. Drive modes only change throttle response and shift points.

Have you compared with the actual computation right after you put gas. I notice that the computer is off 2 mpg with actual.

I do hand check them almost every other fill up and the most I've seen them off was .2 to .5. That being said I've seen remote start idle times aren't computed in the average mpg calculation like during the winter it can be more off with more idle and remote starts..

Yes most of the new 1500s across the board are electric assisted power steering.

Has anyone here with powerboost noticed their oil dipstick smelling like gas? Dealer telling me it’s normal for these trucks because of the continuous engine turning off and on. I’m skeptical

Typical for a direct injection engine. Be sure to drive on the highway occasionally and drive hard for a little bit also. Getting the engine warmed up and driven harder than normal can help.
