Michelle, Founder of Virtual Hand Care, shows you how to increase finger flexion with a pencil. This proven technique will work for one finger or all your fingers.
Best of all, the only equipment you will need is a pencil. Simply place it comfortably between your fingers while using the support of the pencil to actively flex, or bend.
This exercise is perfect for anyone that has achy joints on both hands. Using a pencil reduces the strain on your other hand. Which is common when performing passive stretches to the fingers.
The pencil helps block the more mobile joints of your hand while transferring the force to the smaller joints of your fingers.
By the end of this demonstration video, your whole hand will feel more flexible and free from joint stiffness!
These finger flexion exercises work on improving the mobility of your finger flexors, decreasing joint stiffness, and increasing your finger joint range of motion.
If you are starting to use your hand again after a finger fracture, hand injury, or looking to get ahead of achy arthritis, these are for you!
I am such a huge advocate of finding exercises and movement that increase your finger mobility and hand function. I know you'll find these exercises effective and easy to follow, even without having to purchase any expensive equipment.
Please comment below to let me, and others, know how these finger flexion exercises felt for you. And share this video with friends and family... I'm sure their hands could use a little TLC too!
