Look on eBay or Amazon for the lift kit parts.
The wheels are from a 2015 rubicon I bought off Facebook Marketplace.
Here’s a link to the 3” lift on Amazon
According to one commenter, you have to double the size of the lift, so a 3” pick will make the Jeep lifted 6”. Might be something to consider when researching this lift.

I always install top first and then push the lower control arm down to get the fork in. Won’t damage/ fight with upper bolts then.

@@CottoDIY oh I meant to tell u I did . also what shocks and sway bar did u buy and anything else u want to throw out there let me know as I just want to make sure it rides good and doesn't cause any future issues

@@PunisherPrime81 at the time, I did not buy upper or lower control arms. I would go with a 2” lift in the front because 3” is very difficult to install and it messes up the front angles of ride height.

Yes, this is the cost of having it lifted. It has something to do with throwing off the center of gravity. Looks good, handless bad.

I put the same kit on mine and mine does not bounce I replace struts and shocks

Did u have to get this wheel alignment after the lift installed mine was fine put 2” lift on like yours now my traction control seems to be kicking in any ideas please thanks

I’m not sure about the traction control. I do know after the lift, the handling went down significantly. I didn’t not need to get an alignment though. I would not recommend going any greater than a 2” lift though.

I have a 4.7, should i do 3.5 for the front? And the regular 3 for the back? I want it to be even and i feel like the front will sag

That’s a good question since the motor does account for extra weight. Since I had the 3.7, I would have done the 2” in the front and the 3” in the rear since the rear sagged a little. I don’t like the squatted look and this bothered me. If I were you, I might just do the 2.5 in the front and 3” in the the rear just to make sure it didn’t sag. A little rake doesn’t look bad, but then again, I’m not 100% positive.

How is everything holding up with this lift. I had a pain in the ass putting just a 2.25" tall spacer, that one looks like its actually 3" tall. These jeep apparently gain more in the front end than the actual size of the spacer. so a 2 1/4" tall spacer gave me actually 3.5" up front. A 3" spacer is going to give you well over 4" and cause Soo much problems up front. I had brand new moog adjustable ball joints fail on me first day before I ended up getting the jba upper control arms.

Yes I would definitely recommend against the 3” puck spacer unless you redid the entire front end. The Jeep was super bouncy and walked all over the road when hitting bumps. The stock control arms will break with the new angles. Would only install the 2.5 in the future. I traded this Jeep for a fiberglass 79 wrangler but the new owner was advised if the issues of this lift!!!

guy went backwards in installation of front struts. you dont need to compress them if you have complete unit. you install from top and then throw in the bottom fork and bolt. you did it the hard way

I wasn’t installing front struts. I was adding a 3” lift. Check out installation of front strut videos on KZfaq for the best representation of your project 😀

Shops make it look ezy this is what it’s really looks like putting a lift on and btw I got u a trick Rachel straps on the lowers to get them further down

i got one with the 3 inch lift already in place and the tires rub when you turn corners. it makes such a bad sound, is this a typical problem with lifts? or is mine done incorrectly?

I would at least change the shocks. Are your upper ball joint boots torn or really worn? You might want to consider changing them out too.

This one was RWD. Yes you should get new control arms. A sway bar wouldn’t hurt.

I’m doing a lift on my wife’s car and just purchased a 2” lift for the front. But I want it leveled or wouldn’t mind the nose down a little bit. What size lift should I do in the back? It’s. 6 cylinder

I would do a 2 1/2” or 3” in the rear to get it leveled.

Thanks for the video. I recently bought some used tires for my 08 grand cherokee. It has 265/65/17 but i bought some used 265/75/17 tires for a good deal. My problem is i think they are a bit big. I think i now need to lift it in order to have clearance for the new tires. How high can i lift it without having to upgrade any other parts? (On a budget). Also, i have seen other people mentioning that a 2 inch lift actually lifts it 4 inches and a 3 inch kit 6. Is this true??

Yes this is true and I would not lift it any higher than the 2” lift. You shouldn’t have to change any other parts with the 2”. You might need wheel spacers depending on the offset of your wheels. Hope this helps.

@@aelfwealld I did the rough country 2" lift on my 09 jeep commander it definitely lifted the front up more than the back but it's supposed to maybe 4 " in the front and maybe 2.5 inches in the back. I did have to get 1.5 wheel spacers because I put bigger tires on 265/70/17 cooper at3 looks awesome rides like stock

These in the video are35”, but they rubbed and made too much noise so I downsized to 33”

@@Ghost-nq1vv you have to hammer down the pinch welds under the plastic, and also cut the plastic so it doesn’t rub. A 2” lift equates to a 4” lift-whereas a 3” lift equates to a 6”lift.; all things considered, I would not recommend the 3” lift as the steering, handling, and overall control of the Jeep is diminished. I put an OME HD lift on mine. Word of advice: NEVER install a spacer lift like this unless you want to trash the front end and cv axles.

I don’t see why these wouldn’t fit. When I put 33s on my 18’s they fit fine. I just added spacers because I used stock wheels

Yes sir it held up just fine. Would recommend the 2.5 inch lift in the front, and also getting tubular upper control arms, or just jutting new upper control arms because it did add extra degree of angle.

You could fit the rubicon wheels with a 2” list as long as the tires aren’t over 33”

I bought the $200 kit from eBay. Don’t use the 3” lift though. Go with the 2” Would ride better.

How old are your control arms? If the ball joint boots are worn, I would replace them.

One more question bro have you ever had to take the 3 inch spacer lift off of the front of so ,what’s the easiest way to do this just the spacer itself I replace with new coil overs ! I don’t wanna take the whole strut out again is there any easy way to do this ?

@@jeromia73 there is no easy way. You’ll have to take the strut out and good luck because I had to take a sledgehammer and beat that lift into position.

@@CottoDIY the upper ball joint is know for popping out. these spacer lifts causes the upper arm to be at severe angles, it leaves the arm little to no room for down travel it is putting tons of stress on the ball joint by pulling on it, JBA uppers are highly recommended

He is right I put the same kit on my 05 grand cheese and my upper control arm ball joint snapped right off got everything replaced but it's not the same on that side I hear clunking after everything was replaced wat else do u recommend getting with this kit besides jba upper control arms
